Scars of VeliousI was in kael last night with a small group of 55-60 in arena and after about 50 giant kills i got a little frustrated with 0 drops.. Well (true story).. i /shouted to sone "god i know i been bad and i dont ask for much so.. if u could have something drop i'd appreciate it".. sure enough the corroded plate arms dropped.. so i was happy.. and a little freaked out.. anyways roll time.. i was in competition with bard and i LOST the roll random 952 to a 320.... lol lucky arent i? anyways legionairre dropped it.. no idea if it helps i just figured i'd share my story.. good luck all..

I was lucky enough to have my guilds minimum level to attend a Kael raid. Got these on a roll after raid I was up to Kindly, tried talking to the Capt. but he would not repond to anything I tried so I gave them to him with the gems and I did get the new arms. BTW much better than crafted.

what is thje minimum confirmed level you can do this quest...lvl 45 or is it possible to do it lower?

Lowest me and my friends have quested Thurgadin armor is lvl 30, which seems to be when they allow you to get Kindly or better, level 29 you can't get kindly faction.

Our guild went there (plate house) last night and got 5 drops of the corroded in about 4 hours. Also obtained 3 sets of corroded gloves. Seem to be a common drop from the "cycle". Good Luck to you all and enjoy.

Just to let ya know...after you get to go on Kael Raids you will probably hardly ever see these Vambraces drop...you need to obtain Corroded Plate Vambraces, three Flawed Emerald(These drop of Wyverns in CS) and better than Amiable Faction in Thurgadin. Good luck to you all...I'm threatening to these dumb dwarves and I'm a dwarf myself. Going to have to kill a lot of Giant Scouts in IC to obtain these. But non-the-less...these vambraces are worth every bit of it. The easiest way to obtain the three flawed emeralds is just get a high druid friend that can quad kite and send his butt out to CS. He can quad these wyverns like no tomorrow. Be safe everyone and good journies to you.

And cobalt has stats as well as higer ac, the spells that come with cobalt are just a fun bonus. yay! This is great armor tho, and since im a level 45 warrior i look forward to the day ill be able to obtain it. 5-10 levels from now

Most of the Champions gear is better than cobalt being that it is either the same ac or 1 less ac accept the bp and legs. All the champions armor is better than cobalt besides the Bp and Legs

The agility stat addons and AC on the bp actually make up for the loss of raw AC from Cobalt.
You may loose like 10 AC at most in the difference, if even that.
It basically comes down to if you want Spells and insane strength from all the cobalt buffs, or if you want stats to everything from the beserker, champion or kael or dragon armors.
You guys do all know that you can get the same armor stat wise almost from all three opposing factions on Velious and in the PoG right?
I still think the only Iksar armor available is in PoG though.

actually no, the stats for myrmidon(skyshrine/dragons) and Warlord(kael Drakel/giants) are supperior to both berzerkers(PoG) and Champion(thurgedin)

The STR buffs on the Cobalt Boots and Gaunts do **NOT** stack with eachother.
Besides, the Gaunts (Berzerker STR) effect is gay, your STR goes up, then immediatly starts coming down.
The Boots on the other hand proc STR of the Kunzar, which is a +25str buff that lasts for 36min
IMHO the Cobalt Boots are the only peice of Cobalt that is better than Champ's (Champ boots are gay, I'm sure their stats are around here somewhere)

IMO the only piece of cobalt that's better than champion's is the greaves, due to the invisibility effect and the better stats and ac.

The higher starting AC for Iksar evens out at higher levels, it's about damn time we get some sort of high-end armor like every other race has.

200ish more than crafted? First of all, they're no drop so that completely destroys any legitimacy in your statement. Secondly they are far far far harder to obtain. Even if they were tradeable, no-one in their right mind would sell them for 200 more than crafted.

Berserker's = Champion's quality wise, but they look different and have a few stats switched out. For example the Berserker's Bracer has 2 agi as one of the stats, while the Champion's has 2 dex. That or its the other way around, but the rest of the stats are the same.
In any event, this will go for a helluva lot more than crafted, and will replace cobalt imo, at least by most races because trading 1 ac and serpent sight is worth it for the +25 hp alone. Also, identical quests can be found in Skyshrine and Kael for people with proper faction in those zones, to make it easier than having to build up Thurgadin faction. Don't believe that any of those quests have been solved yet, but as for components.. all the gems are the same as far as I know, you just need different types of armor. They wouldn't have you killing giants in kael to finish a quest there hehe. Hope that clears things up a bit :)

Even though they are no drop, the quest to get them can be multiquested. If someone has the corroded plate vambraces, you have the gems, and you both have the faction - it can be done. So, I have seen people wanting to buy or sell the multiquest of thurgadin plate arms. And yes, it costs considerably more than Cobalt (pay someone for the multiquest and you provide the gems)

I'm on Xegony as well and play a 52nd lvl Dark Elf Warrior I would much rather have the stats and a few less AC points than just AC and spells. I have a pair of cobalt guantlets and I'll be honest the strength buff is a joke. Just my opinion but I'd rather get this quest armor than Cobalt. Not to mention the waiting on Xegony for just the chance to kill VS is long and crowded.
