Scrindite's Senescent Scribbles
Ambleshift does not know what he is doing. You can see that from the way the device works that I am solely responsible for its wondrousness. I should never have allowed him to name it after himself. He leaned on me the whole time, keeping me so busy that I just could not object and he had already passed the name to the approval committee and gotten it approved. The nerve!
My amazing mechanoinstruction reader is the basis upon which the whole system depends. Without it the device would be useless, yet Ambleshift thinks that the simplicity of putting the disparate parts togethr is the genius of it all, which is in fact the simplest part. The reader itself is a genius of engineering that he will never be capable of completing. One would think that simply using a bundle of five size AAA clockwork shafts, a bundle of five pinion gears, a bundle of burin and five individual small Epicthieck's power belts in one of Poxymit's gearbox casings was easy, but you have to be very precise in the placing of the belts in relation to the pinion gear. The tension on the belts must be precise, yet different for each burin.
The gearbox that is integral to the device is simple, but for some reason was beyond Ambleshift's abilities. It uses a gear and spring from innovation, along with a mechanical gnome shaft, two normal gears, and two size AAA shafts, in one of Poxysmit's gearbox casings. Be sure to secure one of Poxysmit's gearbox tops with mechanical gnome bolts.
The mechanoinstruction holepoker is another important device, because without it you could not make the instructions that are needed for the amalgamator. This holepoker needs a hole punch. I found that Poxysmit was better at the specifications for the metal part, but he needed a mold made by me. Simply use two small blocks of clay with some water and the last page of this book as a guide. Bake that as normal in a kiln with a high quality firing sheet.
