my friend is going to get me the boots the bracers and the sleves of this set not to good in the dex and cha but other wise there good plus in pludal it will be ok. i bought the legs of this set 2 days ago i was so hapy i went on a shoping spree bought a new bp its good got the skull shaped barbute helm +25 hp.

What should i use these or crafted for my war?

i bought these tonight for 200pp, and only cuz i couldn't bargain for them...the price for crusty has dropped so much, saw a guy selling a full suit for just over 1k on XEV, and i've never paid more than 200pp for anything except the BP, which goes for 300, maybe a little more on my server. My opinion, for all those AC hogging warriors, is to go for a pretty much full suit of this, with crafted greaves and bracers (better ac, and the bracers add some of that dex taken off)...but this is definitely worth it. my human warrior wears these, guants, and boots, with an SSB and rygorr legs and BM for added strength...putting him at 153 str and 140 sta...not bad for a human, i'd say.

I like these arms becuase they give u good str and good sta.They take away dex so if u want to up your dex don't get them.If your a paladin then i truely reccamend them. My paladin has them and he is lvl 21.I am poor or else i would have something better.But all the good things for classes are a lot of pp so i'd get these till u get the money.

These are better than mithril, and cheaper too. saw 2 today being auctioned, one of them for 300 and the other for 500. Get these instead of mithril, They add more strength, and add good stamina for cheap too.
On vazelle people are selling this armor like candy.. bought the vambs for 450pp. They had a ton of the armor for sell.. Othimer folk are an endangered species on my server.

The reason these vambs are worth 1k is yes there commonly dropped like all the other armor but mostly cause most classes hate lossing dex. I am not a tank but ill tell you dex is helpfull sure you can get rings but if you have a full set of this your dex will be minus 20 + and even if you do get +dex rings youll still loose DEX. End of story! BTW mith vambs are way harder to get.

These arms aren't as bad as you make them out to be. Im a lvl 32 dark elf warrior, and i suffer from low dex, str, sta. But i'll take the 4dex loss from these vamps anyday. Plus with scav bracer 5dex sta and grotesque mask 7dex you can easily make up for what little dex you lose from these arms. But the 8sta and 12sta are a must have for me, so if yur a warrior get these arms they rock.

I dunno about the rest of the set, but I got a Crustacean Shell breastplate last night for two +3 WIS earrings, a RMB, a BCP and 500pp. It has bronze coloration, but the skin is REALLY cool, looks kinda like the Velious class armour. Very pretty! Now if only I could decide what character to put it on--certainly not my Bard...

Mith vams are like 2k and they are 10ac +7str, these add 8 pluss 12sta, if you sell for under 5k, you are crazy.

Umm, These do not completely own Mith vambs or greaves. If you are a rogue or ranger, you cannot wear these. Therefore the mith gear is a very viable alternative. Although way overpriced.
They are not worth that much cash either as their ac is about on par or lower than the old world quest armors for those classes ac, ry'gorr etc.. And they are relatively common drops.
I'd put em at about 500-1kpp. If you pay more than 1kpp then you are getting ripped imho.

They're easy to get though. I bought some on tunare for 1500 the other day.

hehe, woe to you two. This crap is awesome. Go check out the stats on Mithril Legs and Arms, Then check out these. Mithril arms: 10ac +7str
Crustacean arms: +8str +12sta
hehehe, not trying to flame, but this stuff is very very nice. At lvl 50, add up all the HP this stuff adds. The reason verant didn't just make it a +hp was so you WOULDN'T TWINK. This stuff is close to worthless for a twink. +16sta for a lvl 5 is like 5hp. hehe, The legs on this set are almost as good as mith legs too. I have the legs, arms, and boots. Trying to get the helm. Personally, I think this is excellent warrior armor, before cobalt and planar stuff.

These items that have negatives to stats perplex me. I guess someone who doesn't really need those stats as bad might find this handy, but say a bard? I think a bard might be foolish to use this crustacean stuff. The other bonuses are nice, maybe not as bad for a 25th level warrior or something.
Anyone know what level the mob is who drops this? that might explain the stats.

Dex is not a big deal if you already have some. It just raises chance of procing some and how fast you gain weapon skill.
Check out the sta and str on a set of this though.. the sta is pretty nuts if you have all the pieces. No one of a level to get this would wear it really, but its pretty good for a twink.

Ya, I think this stuff is pretty good, but with a Mithril BP and a agility back, I am using cloak of leaves currently ogres have HIGH hp. Also because of the tendency of Power leveling just head to that mob int he Karanas and he can't hit you and u can prac weap skillz, very good combo if you ask me fer those hwo Level'd slightly to fast on DF belts and Fang Amulet of Calling, with a Shaman friend.
