I'm looking to upgrade from my Velium Ruby Veil (8 wis, 8 str) and was wondering which of the Mushroom Veil or Crystal Spider Eyes you'd suggest, please.
Btw, Mushroom Veil is AC: +8 Dex: +12 Disease Resist: +15 Mana: +55 Weight: 1.0

Unless your DR sucks, or you have hit your WIS cap, keep the VRV. Mo mana, mo mana, MO!
well depends... see as me for a necro i will buy one of these 35hp = 35mp so all in all i get +70mp along with about 15mp from the +3 int...now for other clases its the opp since hp doesnt = mp for other intel casters lol. So its your choice but a necro would def go with this its just more possible mana then a mushroom veil...

This is a really good piece of armor for your face Stargrace. AC 8 means you will get hit a bit less, Wis +3 will give you more mana for spells, as does the +35 mana stat. The 35 HP's let's you take 35 more points of damage before the LOADING...PLEASE WAIT message ;) You were very lucky to have this donated to you!

Was in Velks for first time about a week and a half ago. First night their, Killed two Crystal eyes lost roll both times. Also got SCHW's (silver chitin hand wraps) to drop. I won roll wooooot. 3rd night their won roll for CC Arms. So far Velks has been good to me. This isn't regular though, I have been in their every night since and haven't seen a thing drop. Will be their again tonight. Hope to see some more good drops.
if your a monk what would eventually replace this
Some monk gave this to me while we were doing a mini-raid in LGuk to improve live froglok faction. He had recently got a mask he quested for in Plane of Justice. This was a great improvement over the cougarskin mask I had previously, and had been wearing for almost 20 levels.

I can confirm this.. was bored while medding tonite and was looking at my gear and almost wet my pants when I saw my CE mask has +3 wis +3 int on it now.. now its better than an enshrouded veil woo!

Does this item act as a lightsource as well? If so, comparable to a GLS or worse?
you see these often off the spider what drops the hand wraps, this is the common drop, but by the stage of getting to VL you have better so yet another twinking item.

LOL, me didnt have better, in fact me just got them last night and r wearing now. But these would be a nice twinking item if u already had better. They would more than double the hps of my lvl 1 necro that me never play. BTW, they do not drop off the spider that drops the hand wraps. Hand Wraps drop off of one of the frenzy spiders. Crystal Spider Eyes drop common off of Crystal Eyes which also drop those snazzy gauntlet as a rare.
Yep you are a newbie. These don't come off the mob that drops hand wraps. Crystal Eyes drops this as common and Crysal Chitin Gauntlets as the rare.
