At level 54 I now have 202 wis and 505 in plus mana gear. I can't tell you how many times having a larger pool of mana has kept me and my guildmates from dying. High Elves hit 200 wis SO easily with a 130 base, so after that it's either AC or mana.
IMHO mana was the right choice. I love healing guild clerics when they are OOM. :)

I got these last nite in pog raid and ill cont to use my gaunts of the black instead of these. Gaunts of black 15ac 4str 3wis, These 15ac 2sta 7cha 40 mana and 1 vs fire 2 vs magic.
Gaunts of the black better if you you need the +wis ( this plus 3 wis gives me 200) and the pog guants are better if you have 200 wis anyway and need + mana:)

Yeah... I personally hate items with great AC. and who needs +40 Mana? That's so dumb.
Heck, at level 33 I have a Wisdom of 190... and that's wearing my Quest gaunts. I see nothing wrong with these at all.
