A lot of the changes in pricing due to the bazaar were because of the fact that people could see what others were pricing items for. For example, if you come along and see that 4 other people are selling this item for 300, 200, 150 and 100p, you're not going to put it up for 500, even if you heard that's what it was worth from a guildie once. That kind of word-of-mouth pricing is nearly dead, and so prices change much more dramatically.
FWIW, this item is worth about 100p these days, mostly due to the fact that it's a nice range item for low-level folks who don't have 1kpp to spend. Personally, I'd probably go to PoK and get myself the combat manual and upgrade it when I got the skills/ingredients or the plat for the next version. Beginner's manual is better than this, and the stuff you need sells for not much more than this item.
In some cases, yes. But some items (at least on Druzzil, where I play) have increased since the bazaar opened. For example, spider silks selling for 5 plat each? I dont think that happened too often in the EC tunnel days, but now its commonplace.
this is the totem of WARRIOR spirit, correct?? good, okay, were on the same page. now answer me this.... what in the world would a melee class want with WIS???? i understand that its Class/Race ALL/ALL but come on, this should either have Agi or dex instead of Wis if its a totem of WARRIOR spirit.
Is the name of the item Totem for the Warrior? answer: No
With this in mind the object is clearly not made for Warrior's but in fact is made for other classes to give them the warrior spirit. You could argue that even still Wisdom has nothing to do with the Warrior Spirit. That would be technically speaking in EQ stats. But in RP world it would have alot to do with it and as for the most part since all item names are RPish the point is moot. So rather than focus on the word Warrior. You might focus on the part that gives the whole name meaning. >>Of the<< not for the
As any Warrior would know, a battle is won before it starts. Strategy, my friend. And how should one come up with a strategy? Through Wisdom. Also, ever heard of the saying "Through Wisdom comes great Power?"
I would have liked one of these when i was playing my lvl21 monk its an ENTIRE WORLD better than a PoS preserved split paw eye that i was using at the time but oh well thats the way the world turns

I actually wouldn't buy this item for less than 200pp. It's an extremely easy camp, and Goranga Idol is just so much better and can be bought for 800-1000pp on Terris-Thule. But it's a fun camp for the Scrotem of the Warrior Spirit so I like to do it every couple weeks. Makes for happy newbie gift.
wow... dont ever say its an easy camp when you never camped it. I was camping for the Shrunken Gobby skull earring and Grachnist dropped the totem once in about 200 times and the earring 6 times. So go learn your facts and shut it.
I cant believe it,, well im lvl 45 now, much higher than I used to be,, I was a real noob back then, I cant believe I gave up that totem to him. but after all he's my friend IRL, so I couldnt short him , hes a poor druid anyway :p But, if I ever find one again, im giving it to my freking cleric. man I see them for sale sometimes in EC for like 1.5k too, I could practically buy a wu for that!, in fact,, I need a wu LOL ;) and BTW, the ONLY thing that dropped off grach in the entire day I was there was GLOVES Gloves, and MORE gloves.. and he already had a totem, so i got that one, and we never saw another totem and we still never found an earring,, i dont see why poeple like that earring so much,, orc fang is much more common, and just as good? am i right?
*drunk munk out*
Mileren < Society of Virtue > - Tarrew-marr Relly-Relly non uber monk of the 45th feign.
I was doing my shackle quest, with my monk who was lv 25 at the time, and I was getting the gobblin sparring gloves, little did I know I was going after the wrong Pit fighter,, I was trying to find the Pit fighter that dropped the sparring gloves,, well, I found the pit fighter DOB, the hard hard one, well, I didnt know that there were two different ones,, and I called upon a higher lv troll SK that was camping grach, to kill DOB for me a few times to find the gloves,, to find out in fact if that was the pit fighter I needed to kill, He was killing grach and I was helping him kill everything else in the camp as well to help the Named NPCs pop, well, as a token of his appreciation for my determination , or for the fact that he had been killing everything there and had killed grach 60 times and found tons of gloves and totems, but he called to me and told me to come loot the totem , what a cool totem , I used it for about 2 days , after that I gave it to one of my friends who had given me a CCS and a Cougar Claw earring for FREE , so since he is a druid, I gave him the totem, he really LOVED it, and I told him it was obtained by a 52 SK, he was pleased, and it turns out that Pit fighter DOB is NOT,, IS NOT, the pit fighter that drops my quest gloves, its the regular run of the mill pit fighter that spawns everywhere else but at the actual gobby fort.. which i found while running back to cabilis to sell the iksar scaled gloves,, because they were dropping like mad,, I ran back once to find out what they would sell for to a merchant,, they sell for like 9 pp,, bah,, waste of time,, but I got my gloves, got a free totem to give to my friend for being so nice to me and a lot of cash in the process, clearing out a fort with a lvl 52 is fun,, esp when he doesnt loot anything ;) sorry for the long post, but I love this GAME! `Mileren Da Drunk Munk
you traded this for a ccs and a cougar claw earring are you smoking CRACK! maybe if you traded this for a robe of living fungus i might see it gee well wish i was the one to give you my old ccs and cpugart claw earring this is one of the many items on my monk wish lists
I was camping the Iksar bandit lord for his Bracer Of Scavenging when a lvl 60 WIZ aksed me if i wanted some iksar scaled gloves.I went to get them thought they would be ok for my twink SK when i looted the glover the lvl 60 WIZ walked right up to me and gave me the totem for free..he was there mybe 30 min.2 real nice i just put it in my range spot and forget about it.2 days later i was in NFP and saw one AUC for 1k is it realy worth that much? let me know i was thinking 200p
Well look at it, 3 str, 3wis, 10hp and weighs nothing. If I didn't already have a range slot I'd use it even though I'm an enchanter. So if I got one I'd sell it or give it to my bard for the str and hp...my monkey needs his throwing stars.
ok, got one of these the other day. Listen, don't waste your time with this camp unless you want it for yourself or a twink or something. People will treat you like a ****** if you try to sell this thing for 1k. Seriously, afer 20 offers for 100plat i gave up trying to sell it. oh, by the way i am on the nameless, so that could explain some of it too.
I camped him for 8 hrs. Every single time he dropped the gloves! Even the Totem would have been nice. Easy to kill for a 44 monk. I killed him only 24 times, plus 800 gobbies. Someday an Iksar will go strolling into FV!
I can't believe this camp... it's sickening. I came here for one reason and one reason alone: the goblin skull earring.. I'm clearing the fort for hours on end and oh! Look, it's a totem! 9th kill or something. I figure he MUST drop the earring soon, but nope ... 2 kills later ANOTHER one!! Jeez I'm getting sick of this. I hope I get rich or something hehe ^_^. And yes this guy is a ***** to kill... even at level 47.

went to gobby fort with 49 pet pooch just to build faction with FV ... Grach took forever to spawn but to my suprise, dropped the totem! am very pleased! Now glared at in FV :)
I basically hunt here for a living in order to make money. The totem is indeed very rare. On an average for me, I can get 1-2 shruken gob earrings to drop a day, and the totem might drop once every few days (though I have seen it twice in an hour). I sale it for 1.5-2k
BTW, at this spot a necro actually works better than a druid for farming, LOL. Summon up your 53 pet and proceed to slay the entire fort...he typically spawns in one local in the fort repeatedly, or at least I had 7 in a row. Only one totem out of about 5 hours of slayage (was there for faction, not farming..but it worked out, everyone in the zone received those gloves)
Btw, the spot where he spawned alot was towards the water, away from the cliff where there are 3 tents in a small alcove. He spawns in the middle of the three tents alot (not saying this is his only spot, its just more common there)
Was PLing my mnk with my druid, killing goblins and Grachnist The Destroyer spawned. Killed my mnk and get killed by my druid. Got a skull, the tolem of warrior spirit and iksar hide glove. Guess the loots are worth the death of my mnk.
This item, as mentioned in the previous posts, is a fairly rare item. It drops off Grachnist the Destroyer in Warslik's Woods, who can be spawned fairly easily by killing as many Goblins in the fort as you can. He spawns in any of the spots held by the Goblins. I've been able to spawn two at once, and have read about as many as five at once on other web pages. He is blue to a 34 druid, but a heck of a fight. Druids (and other classes able to solo well) can kite him without taking much damage, but he takes a large amount of mana to burn through his 1600 to 2000 hp. If you must melee, you might want to wait until upper 30s or late 40s because he hits for 70+. I have killed about 20 Grachnists and have gotten 1 totem (my first try - go figure) and none of his other rares.
I was looking for the skull of Grachnist for the iksar sk Dreadscale Greaves quest and helped a couple guys take out most of the for for well over 8 hours without a skull or a totem, but i was told about 5 minutes after i got a skull and left he dropped the totem, and that they had been trying for well over 19 hours just for that one... so it's not easy at any rate, it's plain maddenning
I am here to tell you this item is NOT common :P This is one of Grachnists rarests drops. Even the Shrunken Goblin Head Earring is a more common drop off of this guy. After camping him for over 71 hours, he dropped this Totem of the Warrior Spirit ONCE. I hope that's not your idea of a common drop...
Anyway, good luck to all of you who wish to camp this, it will require some serious patience
I disagree that its rarer than the earring. A 52 monk and 57 druid was camping this place and spawns Grachnist every few minutes with only the monk doing any work. The druid only moved when the buffs were down. Must have been busy with something else. Anyway, I asked the monk for the totem if it dropped. They must have been camping it a few hours. Loot was purely gloves every time. Finally, while I kited a giant nearby, totem dropped and I got it. I'd say the totem is more common than the earring. And about your "This is one of Grachnists rarests drops", its more like "This is one of Grachnists only drops if he drops anything other than the gloves at all."

Got one off my second kill of Grac, in less than an hour of camping, this is fairly rare though I heard, and sometime Grac is hard to find, unless you want to clear out the big fort and hope a druid doesnt track and kill it first.
When he said "Far from common" that means the same thing as rare, and the reason he was mocking the other post, is the same reason you thought you were mocking him, because they said this was common. At least he understood the post he was flaming.
