I bought one of these in Bazaar for 20PP!!! I replaced my newbie quest Gem Etched Battle Axe with it. Sure, I lost the stat boosts, but they were minor anyway. The better damage ratio is more than worth it, plus when this baby starts to proc, it'll be even better.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?

I was over in EC about a level 7 I think when this Erudite gives me the Axe and some serious armor. I'm lvl 25 now and it does proc and yes, the proc sucks...but, considering that it was given to me, I don't complain. I am on Ghoulbane quest now and will seek Soulfire and possibly Fiery Avenger after that. I'm certain that I will find a newbie and give it away as it was given to me.

i bought this for 50pp and if you ask me it was a waste of my money. i gave it away to some lvl 7 today. didnt want to try and sell it. so i went out and bought a ghoulbane for 150pp, and i love it.

I'm a lvl 19 warrior and am not able to wield the proc yet. what lvl does it start at? i also bought this for 70pp on vallon zek, some guy thought it was not as good as his ax of the IB. so sold it cheap
I am the best with this weapon, I got it at lvl 2 and the first time I used it i killed my opponent with one hit for 21 damage! It is the bsest weapon ever.

bah n00b, you dont know the meaning of "good" you'll say anything you get is good, i'm an experienced meatshield (lvl 17 at that) and i only have a full suit of crafted, a wurmy and a CoT, now that, is GOOD! i'm prolly gonna sell my wurmy and CoT and get something better, like dual weild with some velium warswords, it'd be good, but the damage/delay isnt quite as good as i have it now, i dunno yer a n00b, course everything is good...

Heh. Experienced my eye - *twinkie*. I'm am a level 35 *warrior* (I disdain the use of the term 'meatshield' - you can call yourself what you'd like), and experience is relative, me boyo. (At *twice* 17 + 1 level, I make you look like a knave by comparison). Anyway, what I'd really like to know is, how much of your crafted armor did you quest for? (I wear a full set of *quested* crafted.) And what about that pig of a 1HS you're heaving around like a manhole cover? Did you quest for it? I don't have one because I haven't done the quest, but I'm in no hurry: any savy warrior knows that there are much better 1HS weapons to be had - what counts most in dual wielding is low delay, irrespective of damage to delay ratio, because the more often you hit the more likely you are to draw aggro and keep it off your caster. (Besides, the Wurmslayer is simply a status symbol for twinks - otherwise, why would the people who actually quested for them give/sell them to braggarts like you?)

at 41, hell at 25 i was better than u, you wanna talk smack to the guy. I am a Ranger, u heard me, Ranger, self buffed I have 168str 98sta 153agi 124dex 89wis 89int 90cha, I wield a Defiance in one, and a Non-lore Centi in other, I will work u like a monk, hitting hard, root u, sit back and shoot arrows at u for crit, and laugh all the way to the warriors guild, Hate people talking ooh,ooh im a war i tank im bad ***, right... Ive seen lvl 53 players (many) not as uber as me, and i get all my own items, no help, no twink, and am sicker then them and their momma- STFU Warriors, till u got ranged stats as i do, and not 180str 82sta 81agi ************* down, and back off others posts, or see me on Drinal, Duel me, and know the true meaning of fear. Cry u want to :)

I hate to say this but, every last one of you are still newbies. So am I for that matter. My highest level char is a 51. When you have a lvl 60, with some AA points, then, MAYBE you can consider yourself not a newby anymore.
Until you get to the high end game, the game is pretty much, drag together a group of at least one tank class, one healer, and whatever else you can find, go to some exp grind zone, and start smacking stuff. Get exp, level and quest/buy better gear.
Once you get to the point that it takes 50 people (or more) to take down the mobs you fight, and tactics actually start to matter, then you can consider yourself among the "Uber".
I'm just getting to the point that I raid as much as grind, and definitely still consider mysef a newby.
And if I can get off the floor and stop laughing long enough, I've got to point out that lvl 41 with 168 str and a few other stats over 100, is only "Uber" in your eyes.
Now, back to this weapon, its pretty lame. Blackened alloy ******* swords are often under 50pp these days, and are 24/39.
A little more cash (500pp or so) and you'll be able to get an Arbiter's Combine greatsword (30/43).
Any 2h weapon with a ratio below 2.0 is give away type gear these days. You won't be able to get over 10pp for it in the bazaar.

lol, yeah, you could solo great, but then what happens if you get in a group and the warrior can't hold aggro, what happens then if we aren't uber enough????? well then you DIE just like all over twinked rangers who build too much aggro do....and with your dueling comment, the only reason you'de win against an even lvl warrior is because you've got all yer special spells and you'd root and sit back like a coward, knowing that if you got within arms reach of us you'de get that cocky ranger heart ripped tha **** outa your wussy rooting/running chest and shoved up yuor *** before you could manage to do any real damage to decent warrior....
oh and BTW....troll warriors have perm regen...don't forget that, i've won MANY duels because of it...
and my current stats at lvl 24 are: 217str 167sta 115dex 147agi and the rest don't matter cause im not relying on mana to save my ***

Some guy in Gfay yesterday on Zebukxoruk was goin to trade me this for my icettoths claws. SUddenly he "remembered that these go for 600pp". Was he Full of somthing or what? Then he changed teh trade to this, he wants my Icetooths claws, and my Executioners hood. Of Course I said no, does anyone think I made a bad choice.
On Bertoxx this weapon wont sell for much more then 100-150pp. You cant even sell a BABS, with 24 dmg and 39 dly, for much more then 150-200pp right now. I guess the claws are worth more, at least easier to sell for some fair cash.

For Drinal anyway. This sword won't sell for more than 250pp on Drinal. Luckily, I bumped into someone last night who was looking for a quick sale -- I got it for 75pp!
I just bought this sword and am doing about 30 avg on slashing, I have seen 61 on crit hits. will this sword get better in time? I have seen the saying that i do not have the will to handle this weapon! But it still handles very nice for now. But im only at lvl 18. i see one must be lvl25 to get the effect of shock of frost to work.
Which makes me work harder to reach lvl 25.....
O ya by the way i paid 130pp for it. i think its a little high but got it anyways. my old sword was a 2hs 12hp and 47dly. axe.

There are damage caps in place until level 20 which is why the damage output is lower than expected for the ratio.

I have one of these and am a 28 pally, is there any quests I can do at my level to obtain a better 2hs weapon? And procs at 25
eh...why does mine say it procced for the same amount of damage as my icy blade (same proc). Both procced for 38 max.

I would like to confirm 2 things.
1) The axe does not begin to proc until 25.
2) Who cares if it procs, the shock of frost hits for a WHOPPING 6 points. Yes thats right.. 6.

This weapon has too much of a delay at a low lvl because it hasnt procd, runic carver is a **** load better than this
I just got this weapon to proc for me at level 25.

Some guy in Faymart wanted to trade me this for my Wurmslayer and Cracked Darkwood Shield. He couldn't figure out why I laughed at him. Its nowhere near as nice of a weapon.
