As I have noticed hunting for my twink shammy...any Oricle can have the chance to drop this UBER weapon ..the Manor is the only place they stpawn and i got in less then 2 hours of killing anything and everything in the Manor...GL I hope this helps
After creating a new shaman, I wanted to give him the Icewurm Fang as part of his twink package. So I visited this forum and read the available info on the mob that drops it and then off to Kael I went. Not knowing where the "manor" was, I used a druid to track the Oracles and found the "manor" in that way. It is on the left side of the main path between EW and WL before you get to the bank (heading towards the WL side from EW). Note that back of the bank is more or less adjacent to the "manor" but the pathways to each are seperate). Be advised, there is MORE THAN ONE MOB that drops the spear. I hunted there for three sessions before it finally dropped, and when it finally did drop, it was NOT Oracle Bloodstorm who dropped it (note that the surname Bloodstorm is definitely correct, and is NOT Bloodsword or Bloodbaron as stated by others on this forum). The mob that finally dropped the Fang for me was in fact Oracle Zardukel, and over those 3 sessions, I only saw him the one time. I killed Oracle Bloodstorm perhaps 15-20 times in those three sessions, and he never dropped the spear at all. Therefore, I would hazard the guess that Oracle Zardukel is a rare spawn with an almost certainty of dropping the spear, whereas Oracle Bloodstorm is a semi-frequent spawn who rarely drops the spear. All the Oracles have fixed spawn sites within the manor, and each spawn site has placeholders (usually a Chanter So-And-So). If you see a Sentinel, then the place where he is standing is NOT a spawn spot for an Oracle. Oracles have no triggers to spawn them, unless you call killing the PH's a trigger. Either way, you will need to be very lucky to get the spear quickly. If the Oracle has the spear, he will have it equipped and you will see it. I used a level 69 mage with a focussed air pet to very easily solo the manor as fast as the mobs would spawn, and it took me three 4-hour sessions to get the drop. The biggest mob I saw were named giants who were light blue to me and soloable by my pet. KEI was not needed, nor were HP buffs for the air pet. So, in reply to one persons query here, I would say that a level 64 mage could solo the place without any real problem, especially if said mage knows how to use pets to single pull mobs without getting adds. Hope this helps any people who want to get the spear for themselves.
Everyone keeps saying the Oracle spawns in the manor. Where is the Manor. On eqatlas I can see the Noble house and then there is Icesgshard's Keep. Any clue what the actual name of the "manor" is? Thanks
I know it has been over a year since this post, but I thought I'd answer the question for anyone else that may be wondering. The "manor" is noted as Iceshard Keep on eqatlas.
Can't throw it. It doesn't have a range. Look up arrows and they have a range to target. This sweet item has no range, therefore you can't accidently throw it away.
I know who (Oracle Bloodbaron), I know where (Manor in Kael), now all I need to know is when? I am setting a little party to go camp this thing, and I wouldn't want it to turn into a 6hour wait for nothing situation, so would someone plz post how long it takes for him to pop, and if there is a trigger for him plz add. Thanks
I got mine about a week ago, and it dropped off of Oracle BloodSWORD, not Bloodbaron. Not a very noticable difference, as you can see him carrying the spear, but none the less thought I'd share with you all
For those that are curious this drops off the Oracle Bloodbaron in the "plate house" or "manor" as some call it. Pre-epic i used for a long long time. Also, i highly recommend a Horse/leezard for all shamans...as u dont get sit agro, but are sitting..so u regen at max for canni. at 58 i dont even bother with KEI anymore. With vindi BP & regen 3 u will be a canni machine of constant HP..add regrowth walla...KEI is nice if its free, but not neccessary. what exactly this has to do with this thread..well i dunno..hehe...just bored at work!
I solo alot and this Weapon makes me want to solo more I got mine from a Guildy for a kool 1K i asked around later and found out that thay where around 3-5K and if you ask me well worth it to if you get a chance get one. i realy like mine P.S i heard it Proc's at Lvl.35 Goofdawg Edawg - 34Shammy E'CI
I've noticed alot of shaman mentioning stamina drain while using this. I'm not sure if it just never got around to some folks but if your sta is over 100 you have no negative effects on your atk. The only side effect of having no yellow bar is that you cannot jump.
Take a look at the rogue/ranger boards and you'll find all the info you need.
I'm pretty sure only lizards and kitties need even consider sta and by the time you can proc this you shouldnt have a problem getting your sta over 100.
Basically, it's how much you attack and how fast you do it. The reason that your stamina goes down using this is because when, hasted, you are attacking very fast. I get asked by a lot of rogues and rangers for Acumen, because they attack so fast with their items that there stamina bar is depleted, especially over the length of constant pulling or alot of mobs in camp. Never seem any side affects using REIF and having my stamina bar go down, but then again with my stamina around 180 at the time, I never managed to completely drain it.
Oh, and I used this weapon in my primary until I got my epic a bit into lvl 60. Makes for a nice item to use and puts out a bit of dmg compared to the epic. The epic hits harder, but I certainly hit more and like the DD from this. Only time that I didn't have it equiped is when I was working on my 1hb or 2hb.

Dont forget to consider the weight of the weapon. A heavier weapon impacts stamana more for the same delay. Think about, swing a 1 lb hammer, and then swing a 10 pound hammer and see which one makes you tired faster :)
I think you both missed Drag's point or are replying to the wrong post. To repeat, after your Stamina is 100+, even though your yellow bar will get depleted, your attack rate will NOT slow. The only effect being out of stamina has at that point is stopping you from jumping, any melee class player should be able to tell you this. He also pointed out that with the exception of Iksars and Vah Shir (and now Frogloks) the Shaman races are all big on starting stamina, so it isn't often going to be a problem.
REIF actually works better than epic for meleeing. Epic has better stats, though, so I usually keep it equipped. If I want to melee I'll use a good 2HB (like Barbarian Spiritists Hammer) because it lands more damage and a possible proc between JBB blasts. If you're JBBing, it doesn't matter how fast your weapon is, you'll still only get one hit every 8 seconds.
With JBB and BSH, plus the actual melee damage, I can do over 600 damage in one round. Fun.
If I did not have JBB I'd be very tempted to switch from epic to REIF to do melee.
This weapon is worth the price you have to pay to usually acquire it. The ratio is very fast and being a Shaman weapon, becomes even faster with your Haste line of spells. I bought mine after I became disappointed with my Spine Chill Spear proc. Fully buffed in melee I sometimes have this proc up to 5 times (5x81=onedeadmob). Stamina was never a problem either, the mob drops so fast you only lose one quarter depending on how much you start out with. One average it procs at least once per battle. If you can manage the price I recommend you go find your self one. They are rare but turn up in the Bazaar from time to time. Not much better out there than this spear until you Epic (IMHO, I am sure someone will list some, but I am talking bang for buck here and obtainable).
Just traded acrylia studded tunic and 3k for this on tribunal..got a great deal i think my shammy was out dmging the ranger in the group the other day just meleeing no dot or dd...at 24 soloing in paludal great exp run to baz get c3 ..root.dot.dd once than melee the rest ,ever low on mana i just canni and regen gains it back, but neways this thing has great DPS i was told it proc at 30? anyone know if this is true? like out of nowhere now allakhazam dont have lvls on things it used to be real good on the procs and 1 day they like got re-set and now nothing is correct
the weapon procs 81dd that can be resisted. At 34 i was solo'n the cougars in ic. Usually procs buffed up 5-10 times. Slow, dot send pet haste and then you go in its a really quick battle with regen on maybe be lose bout 1/4 of my health. Heading to OT to try out my philophy next. Oh yeah the weapon doesn't proc until 35. Its by far a great weapon if you can afford at 35 and then equip sps or something if you can afford to do so
I got this last night in the new Bazaar option (and stole it to boot) and it is great. After having one I would easly pay much more after know what it does. My dog and i solo db giants with this, slow and ebolt and end the up with 90+ percent health on both of us. BTW this is the first time that i have a sta problem (keep running low) during a fight.
Mem up Invigor. Will help u get the Stamina back quickly. What I end up doing to the tanks with Wurmies. They are always thanking me for it. I know when to cast when I see them slowing down . . .
What level did this start to procc for U? I am wanting to twink up my level 1 Shammie or help out my level 32 Shammie and need to know if this will procc at 32. Thank you.
