So i spent a day farming this only to find out that they changed the graphic. Eat a hairy one SOE.
camped high pass orcs for 1 MONTH with my classic eq pally,
after over 250 HOURs saw NO nameds at all.
then shrok idol dude poped,
after i kileld him 5mins later same middle wanderring spawn point his brot6her spaanwed
got shralok pack
5mins later i same spawn point middle wanderer his other brother spawned, killed him got the halberd

This weap blows compared to another item he drops, shiny brass idol, one charge of DA. Killed him today when he happened to be up and got the damn halberd, thought he only dropped the idol since he is so rare, anyone know if he still drops idol? it's not listed on known loot of Hagnis Shralok.
Wrong Shralok. Hagnis only drops the halberd. There are two others Vopuk and Recfek Shralok who drop the idol and the shralok pack.

I once heard that Pending Lore means that they havent decided wether or not to make it lore yet. But that was a while ago.

Now comes with Damage Bonus of 6! Does anyone know exactly what a damage bonus is though? If it adds to damage why not just increase the damage number?

Damage bonus is based on level, and I believe starts at level 28. I remember reading something about it being (level-25)/3.

Lets say a weapon is 20 dmg 20 delay. When you swing it the weapon hits for 40 damage.
With a damage bonus of 5 it is not 25/20 but instead pulls off 5 more damage then usual. so you will hit for 45

This message is late,your wrong though. a 20 damage 20 delay weapon can hit for a max of 80 or 20x40 with maxxed strength and a damage bonus of 5 would make the weapon a 25 damage 20 delay allowing it to deal up to 100 damage and this is what i've been told by SoE officials.

I've been trying to auction this thing for 20pp for about a month on Fennin Ro server. No takers... :(
These things are now worth very little. Since axe of the iron back was made magic, there is really no niche for these. Under lvl 20, this does same damage as axe of iron back (sells for 50pp), but has 11 higher delay. Over 20, nobody is going to use a 16 dmg 2hs with a 3 ratio and no stats. This is going to go to the low level player who doesn't have 50pp to spend on an AoIB. I threw mine in free on a sale of a bronze helm to a pally who wanted something to work on his 2hs, after auctioning at 20pp for days. Give it to a newbie, make someone's day.

just got one tonight on my loot hunt on the mainland...spent 16 holy years in BB, crappy loot...then 3 in Unrest it got a bit better, especially after Guild raid there...next 7 in Kunark where loot & xp were good but now i want items I can sell since my Roll in group failed for the only decent thing I wanted...a sarnak emblazened tabard...anyway, Im trying to sell one of these will take 20pp since thats seems to be normal these days...send me a tell on Saryrn server

I bought one from a merchant for 5pp. No I am not kidding. Theres no way I'd pay more than 20pp in auction since vendors only sell them for 5pp.

Doh, you where only lucky, you CAN by them from vendors IF some idiot has selled them to some merch. If you try to get it othervise you need to camp some undead froglock and ppl want mony for it.
You don't need to camp frogloks just the orcs in highhold pass. Got mine from a named Shralok orc. Wasn't campng him intentionally, just the orc camp on south side of zone. He pops, aggros, dies. Drops the SBH. We roll, I win. Very nice!

well your server would have to be very, ummm, inflated, for you to be able to get one for 20pp

Pfft! I got it for 20pp with no problem. I wouldn't have payed that much, however, if I had thought about the weight (fight, rest, fight, rest) and if I had realized how cheap it was at the vendors (3pp). Yes - I was young and stupid.

This is a great weapon for 2H slashing fans (read trolls and ogres) and since it's classified as magical you can use it hunt willow-wisps, ghouls and werewolves.
The 41pp average price doesn't seem to be accurate though - atleast on the Xev server, these things are being auctioned at 100pp a pop.
I haven't been able to get mine ID'd yet - does anyone know if they have any secondary magical powers?

actually, it goes for bout 60pp on Xev now, i just sold one.... lucky actually, walk into Highold and bam... i get a group and a Shiny Brass Halberd in like 5 min................
