Parked my bard at 644, -203 (the N/S passage between Yymp and Spinflint according to Brewall Maps)

Killed everything that pathed across that spot and got King after 6 hours or so.
2nd stick took roughly 3 days (6 hours each).

Mass killed for days, finally popped up on track.. just wondering down the west path facing north. Pain in the ***. was probably the 3rd worst to complete hunter for original EQ zones.

This is the hardest of the staves to get. Took me a couple hours. I suggest killing all the roamers as quick as possible. Once all dead stand at the fork from Runnyeye and kill everything none goblin that passes in front of you. I killed off line of sight down both passages and King Xorbb came from the right. He hadn't been up long so I think he spawns up that way, or his PH does. I wanted to narrow it down to a specific spot but the mobs killing eachother made it more of a PITA than I was willing to deal with this long into the BTHH quest.

A very rare item to obtain due to the difficulty in getting King Xorbb to spawn. Note: some believe Fabled season is the best time to go after this, though we need verification that this item drops from both Fabled King Xorbb (seems likely) and the Fabled Evil Eye (seems odd).

We could use a modern item window pic of this item.

We could use a pic of someone wielding it.

We need verification that the druid root staff quest "Tibrinn's Quest" still functions.

We KNOW the "Visiting Priestess" quest still functions in the modern era. The reward, "Blued Two-handed Hammer" is a legendary item from the original EQ beta. Your house and/or guild trophy display is not complete until you have one --though the item actually still has grey-farming function for the classes that can use it.

One other significant use is granting classes without a PBAE spell of their own one that will dramatically speed powerleveling:

- Level 30+ toon equips the hammer
- Level 100+ toon starts a zonewide train
- Level 100+ toon establishes solid agro
- Level 30+ toon starts melee until several procs fire
- Level 100+ toon activates large damage shield and sits down a few times
- Profit

After 11 years of EQ, I thought I would try to see if I could spawn the King. It took me a solid 1.5 days of killing everything (apart from the Quest NPC's). Spawned near the runnyeye entrance.

If your are camping him for staff I just want to give a heads up. He has about 9 or so PH and his staff is his RARE drop by that I mean he was killed 24 times before it dropped once. This drop is about a 20 hour camp most of the time and you'll need a tracker. Also mob is level 35 not 25 and has normal hp (class Wiz) Good luck!

Dropped today (December 31st, 2007) in King Xorbb's Gorge, off King Xorbb who was wandering around the centre passage in the zone.

...I've been after this one for a long time so it was a happy surprise.

Trying visiting priestest quest. Droped from Fabled evil eye on 2nd spawn. Kill the everything in the zone, and this guy poped on the side of the throne then begain to wander around.

i'm pretty sure that the dot effect on this (or any other weapon/spell) no longer stops a mob's regen, so it's no longer a good pet weapon:(

I've been hoping to find one of these for years now, to complete the quest in Najena.

In the last week I've found 3 (three!) for sale in the bazaar.

I wonder what's changed.

I know that some of you look at this weapon and think nothing of it... not a very good ratio and a seemingly weak proc. Well, the proc does actually inflict very little damage, but the nice thing about disease based dot's is that it inhibits the creatures natural healing. So, while it may only do about 50 damage throughout the fight, the creature isnt gaining any Hps back.

Just my 2cp's! hehe
