a friend gave me one of these for free, and i was wondering if this would be good for a dwarf warrior at least for awhile...
my warrior is only lvl 1 so i thought it could help. do you think it'll work for a few levels until i get anything better
oh and if anyone can help me find out what quest this is used for, if it is quest-related, can you please post it here...

dont you get it...its lore...which usually means quest...who cares about smithing...just go to your neighborhood shammy and get strength buff if your worried about it...and this thing came out after luclin so its probably beastlord or vah shir related
It came out about a year ago, keep reading the posts below and you'll see it was out long before Luclin :) Anyway, I found one of these at a merchant, and I still dont know what it's for. Does anyone know?

KarixDauthislayer is right this has about -3AC because the -10Agi stat on it will take u down by about 3 AC :(
We killed Korazak 2 times last night.
First time, he was 54 and dropped this item.
Second time, he was 53 and dropped berserker's axe and storm giant toes...

Well, as a smith, I have to agree this is a nice item for that purpose. But still, there is better out there. As far as combat is concerned, I have to agree that negatives to dexterity and agility can be crippling, but these negatives are not that bad. The only reason you'd worry about these is if you had low agi/dex to begin with. Also, you'd worry about these if you were a rogue. Otherwise, any warrior with decent agility and dexterity can make decent use of this if they happened to lose their corpse in a terribly gone raid.

I got this three of four months ago. I knew from the start that this has to be for an undiscoverd quest.
Unless verant has started making totally useless items for nothing other that suicide missions.

Well enough of this smithing and trade skill crap. Find out what its for =) Got one myself and dunno what the hell to do with it. So it sits on a Mule till someone finds just what it is for. The guy that drops this hits for an average 250 with an ocasional 325 or so. Was pulled to WL zone in Kael and took a while to drop him was Red to me at 54 at the time i think. Was when SoV first came out. I am guessing he is just as hard as a protector of zek. Now I have heard of worthless but this item takes the cake. Quest? Maybe. Or maybe just Verants way of saying Grats on killing a somewhat uber mob and heres your prise, a worthless loot table.

Considering the attributes of this item, my guess is it's for some quest in Velious, most likely in Thurgadin. I got one of these yesterday, and I am holding on to it just in case.

This thing sucks, it goes in chest spot, and if you didnt see, that is -5 DEX, -10 AGI, not +.

Unless you can MAKE something out of it, it is even worse for smithing than it is for fighting, Dexterity helps your success rate when doing trade skills....he sounds like me knows some recipe for this tho..what do you think?

Wrong, Dex has absolutely ZERO to do with smithing. Notice... he said Smithing... you saw that right?
Smithing first looks at the highest of either Int or Wis, then give you a bonus for high Strength.
Thus, this is Extremely useful for smithing :)
