Ruins of Kunark
I was given this weapon by a nice mid level toon when I was ... oh ... about 5 I think. For those of us who are (or were, I should say) complete noobies with no friends to PL us or twink us, it's not such a bad deal. Some people are good at farming cash or making money off loot, but again, for those of us not so great at the finer points of the game, even at level 22 we still can't afford to buy a whole heck of alot.
Everyone wants a weapon that's a bit above their level...helps you level faster, I'm sure. But at one time (and it is that way again on the noobie server) this weapon was a good weapon for its level.
But, with all THAT said...for MOST EQ'ers...it's something you toss to a noobie, yea. That's what I'll be doing with mine now that I've outgrown it. I hadn't ever thought of giving it to a mob...might be interesting to watch hahah

I don't think this is a common drop. POS weapon for the level you get it at YES! but not common. I've been hunting in LOIO for 3 lvls and first time I ever saw one was a week ago. My guild even said it was a rare drop. I got it off a lego to at the right plat. Maybe its just my server thats screwed up. *shrug*

No, it does not have a damagebonus of 6. It has a damagebonus based on your class and level.
I can't remember at what level you start to get a damagebonus, but at level 60 the damagebonus would be much greater than 6 (not that anyone would weild this a level 60 ;).

Not really, Its only lvl 22 attain level, great for an **untwinked** warrior.
THe shiny brass halberd is attainable by a level 16, and is 16/48. The Sarnak Great Claever isn't very good, the guy above is right.

my group pulled a srnake lego at the srnak fort in loio today....the monk won the roll but he didn't want it so we re-rolled for it....i ended up winning! i never win anything so this is great, i think the +5 str is cool, but i don't have a warr so oh well looks like it will be sold.

i traded a langsax and a dragoon dirk to a lvl 3 warrior in gfay. i know i got ripped off but i didnt want thoughs and i wanted a 2hs to twink ma dark elf warrior.
For those of your thinking of over charging our poor tanks, think again.
Many down sides to this weapon.
1) Pitiful damage for the level you get it at. Come on! 12 damage?
2) The +5 Str and hence, +5attack is really nothing to yell about.
3) Forged Halberd. 14 dmg 50dly. For that 0.2 secs more wait time you get 2 more damage, which really translates to 4 actual damage on a mob. can be bought for 25pp or less.
4) If you want something magic? Get a Shiny Brass Halberd. 16dmg, 48dly. Magic. Usable not only by WAR but also by the 3 other hybrid tanks, RNG PAL SHD. Makes it easier to sell when you get something better. Level need to get the Shiny Brass Halberd is lower too.
5) Sarnak Great Cleaver is only for WARriors. Makes it harder to sell.
Oh well... just thought i'd do a service by informing any warriors or would be users of this weapon... which is good candy for your eyes mostly by the way.
Make no mistake... it IS better that rusty weapons so i guess you COULD give it to newbies.

I traded a berserkers sword for this and then found out that I couldn't even use the thing (Im a pally). So he said he would do a tradeback and then suddenly he went LD and never came back. Im thinking this guy did that on purpose and that he is a cheap ripoff. Anyway, now I have one of these POS weapons and cant even sell it in NFP for 10 pp when I could have sold the berserkers sword for over 300 (sigh). Well, I know that these come of legos at backdor my friend got one hunting there, but as for recruits I'm not sure.

Well to me this weapon preetymuch sucks ... I have a Giant Militia Longsword andits damage is 11 1hs ... and withmy icetooth claws in the other hand this is like crap damage ...

For those to weak to get on their own, 75pp is fair price I think. By the time you can get it on your own, you wouldn't use it. Lot's of stuff in the game is that way otherwise noone could make $.

You people say it's a crappy weapon but I still want one. The first time i saw it was in a shop in Fironia Vie for like 600PP!! Maybe it's just my faction but is there an easier way to get this? Please tell me, I want it (mostly because it looks cool).

ive hunted in the lake from 17-29 so far and ive seen 1 of these ever, so i dont think its really a common drop, ours dropped a lego, but it really is a crap weapon unless you have nothing else.
I've been in the Lake of Ill Omen for 6 lvls now, and when I looted one tonite, it was the first time I have ever SEEN a legionaire with a weapon. I can't even recall ever seeing one auctioned to be sold in the zone the whole time I was there.

I payed 150pp for one of these freakin axes!!!
I'm not saying that these are not a decent weapon, but by the time you can get ahold of one on your own (without buying it), you simply have better choices available. Still, as far as 2HS weapons go, this is great to sell (or preferably give, they aren't worth much) to some newbie warrior.

i think it is because high level people want to get rid of it so instead of putting it on the ground they give it to some lvl skelton to kill all the newblies =)
