I was in Iceclad near the entrance to the tower and got one off of 'a shadow guardian'. Picked up the chill dagger at the same time too.
Don't go to Iceclad Is all I can say if you want them they're rarer in Iceclad.. EW I got one of the first dervish I saw.
weird, i just got mine, and it doesn't have the tradeskill tag on it. i don't understand how you can use it in a recipe, but wth, i'll give it a shot.
got three on me now, all DO have tradeskill tags

quadded some snow dervishes after killing all blizzard dervishes and getting nothing. 2 of the 4 snow dervishes dropped iceball.

I collected some Iceballs off of Blizzard Dervishes in EW as well. Never seen one drop from a Saveage Dire Wolf and I have killed a bunch of both.

It's a necessary ingredient for Tainted Avalanche Ale -- which is used in the Coldain Ring quests. Trivial at 248?
Just load up on the things and then /d your friends and have an iceball fight. ;)

It sounds like this is just a throw away, that the higher level players may loot and sell at the bank. That is good, cause I seriously would be interested on buying one. it is one of the lowest delay 1hb's that I have seen. At least that I could have a hope of finding and affording. Where is the nearest merchant that you would expect people to sell it at?
I am not too worried about getting there... Selos and a good drum should allow me to get there and Cassindra's Carismatic Carrilon should let me buy it. I just am not sure where to go.

It is only equipable in the RANGE slot, of no use at all, unless you just want to throw it once.
These also drop off of Frost Giant Scouts. There is a quest or something important, there was a guy in Iceclad paying 100pp a piece for these.
It is used in the making of Tainted Avalanche Ale, which is part of ring 9 quest (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=1290). Offering that much got your attention, as it was meant to.
OK, get a bunch of your friends together in Everfrost peaks and make 2 groups, now have everybody from one group challenge the other group to a duel...
INSTANT SNOWBALL FIGHT... hehe... nobody will die, but you can keep track of how many hits you get... even more interesting...

Can a shaman bag stack these?
And check out "players wearing/using"... lvl range is from 3 to 51 hehehe... It might be robbing me of my youth, but this game is still awesome :)
I can just see it; capture the flag, where you use an Eye of Zomm as the flag; if you hit the Eye of Zomm with an iceball, you have the flag and then if you can get it back to your Eye of Zomm without getting hit you win :p
Kinda need the honor system, but this would be a fun little guild event to stick on the beginning or end of a guild meeting :)

Um IMO this is just a toy for people wanting to have a snowball fight, if you are waiting on a long spawn throw em at each other might be fun to get hit with a snowball in Solb hehe.

I don't know if it was a glitch or not... but while me and one of my budies where hunting in kaesora he handed me one of these.
I put it in ranged and, thinking I couldnt hit him with it, I hit the macro for range weopons and I HIT him with it (non pvp scenerio) I only did 2 damage, but still...

is this weapon useable only once or can you use it all the time? 2/20 is really low, but trow ice ball at other player must be fun...
