looted one from the The Fabled Drolvarg Warlord today, sadly already had one on my Shadowknight from a previous trip to Karnor and his regular version, will need adding to his loot table
shaded blade and shissir knight blade, good DPS for lower levels, especially 10- with damage caps, and 10+ go for shaded blade till 30's then get a longblade o vitality. u need to skip this blade :-P
Given the Longblade of Vitality is req lvl 56, thats out of the question for twinks. The shaded blade is 12dmg 24dly and the shissar knight sword is 10dmg and 22 delay. 6 more damage and 2 more delay out weighs the shaded blade and the knights sword is laughable. the only advantage would be for more swings = faster skill ups. I would chose the Noc blade over these any day of the week and twice on sunday.

Was selling a couple Lammy's in Bazaar and got offered a Noctivagant for both Lammy's. We traded and both left happy. Now I just need an SK to go try this baby out. Pricing on 7th is about 3k for Noct, Lammy's are going 1-1.5k.

Picked up one of these to replace lammy, works great. I love the added int, and dex. I have this + sarnark battle shield for 1hs, steel rod of the knight for 2hb, and war marshall's bladed staff for 2hs and I can honestly say I couldnt be more happier with my weapons of choice

this is a nice wepon for a sk good damage and delay and can't forget the +15 int thats a nice cheap blade

I bought it for 800 pp on sebilis. I think it's a very good sword (for my lvl 5 it was very very good)

I upgraded my sk from MoSS to this blade quite awhile ago.. when I had the MoSS my skills raised much slower, the minute I armed this nice blade my skills started moving up damned quick. The price varies.. I didn't pay a thing for mine.. I traded it as an even swap the sellers Noct. for my Scimitar of the Emerald Dawn (had just deleted my pali) they sell for about the same on Torv.
Currently these are my weapon choices
Noct. & Acrylia Inlaid Shield
And to practice 2hs I just bought Scythe of Eternal Ice for 250pp!
Personally I am very happy with my choices in upgrades and would never look at MoSS again for anything short of twinking a newbie SK. (Currently on Torv Noct usually goes for 4-6k.. MoSS goes for 10-50PP.. GREAT twink item.. but if you can afford the upgrade, it is MORE than worth it!)

picked one up for 2.5k on torv-- aside from my haste item, it's the best use i've made of my plat so far. i'd recommend it to any sk looking for a good 1hs that will serve them well for quite some time.
and anyone who says moss is better is either being sarcastic or fishing for a low price on noct-- i could train a chimpanzee to look at noct then look at moss, and type which is the better weapon.

Just picked one up in the Bazaar on Luclin server for 3.5k, and I must admit the stats help out greatly for my clumbsy dumb ogre. Also with the extra bash damage we've been getting since the patch (been bashing upto 80 damage with a sbs after a str tap ) makes useing this weapon a pleasure.

I saw one on quellios in bazaar for 4.2K... it was an amazing price... but was still more money id ever seen... so i got the money... took over a month...but i finally did it! since ive been using the 'rusty mace' MOSS i was bad at both 2H and 1H... so i bought anyways cuz it rules... and the fact i wont be getting asked for rez anymore. Now i mastered 1H blunt and slash but 2H slash still sux... argh. What is a good 2H slash weapon better than 20/42 that is cheap? ill shut up now...

If you don't already have a haste item, check out the mithril two handed sword. It's 21/40, but the built in haste makes it 21/31, but with the damage bonus of a 40 delay.
Also, if you want dirt cheap, or already have haste, get a blackened alloy ******* sword. 24/39, and about 50-100pp.

U might like argent defender. pretty decent 2hs. and on the AB server its about 300pp now. when it was a great weapon b4 all this twinking and stuff grrrr!!

i just got one, then i got it the bonus damage was 4, when i hit lvl 40 the bonus damage increased to 5. a friend of mine a lvl 53 sk has one also, and her bonus is up to 9, not sure what the top out is. thats what is special about this blade.
OMG ! some people still don't get it. i will say it 1 more time: for 1 hand weapons, damage bonus is dependened on level,and level(of the wielder) only. all my 1 hand weapons now have a bonus of 10, and if i pick up a rusty dagger ,it also has a damage bonus of 10.
for 2 handers ,only level of wielder and the delay of the weapon determine the damage bonus.
(higher delay, higher bonus).

moss is 19/29 where noc is 18/26, 3 delay really isn't worth paying 10 times as much, and 10 dex isn't ethier, 5 int will generally give you 50 mana(at higher lvs) but that still doesn't make noc a better wep, the main factor i used to consider the betterness was price, moss=400-500pp noc = 4000-5000pp

Yeah right. You're just saying that to drive down the price of the Noct Blade so you can buy one cheaper. Otherwise you would not be on this site but more likely on the MoSS site praising about how good a MoSS is.

ok lets look at the stats, MoSS: 19/29 ratio 1.526 +10int wt2.6
Noct: 18/26 Dex10 int15 wt0.4 ratio: 1.444
the dex will help your self cast procs hit more often and the int means you learn skills faster and have more mana for that snare or the extra HP life tap that might just save your life, and the low wt will help keep your sta from falling so you wont loose AGI or AC that way, also MoSS looks like a stupid rusty mace and Noct has a very cool look to it. need I say more?

You may be right about the fact that 3 delay in itself isnt much but the ratio of the damage/delay on this weapon is much better than a MoSS. I am currently using a MoSS and am going to upgrade it. As SKs are a melee class Dex can be very important and 5 extra to INT certainly isn't bad. I don't really see where you get that a MoSS is better. On a side note on Povar (not sure which server youre on) a MoSS will go anywhere from 500-1k Noc can be hefty but never 5k from what ive seen and the only instance its actually 10 times more is if you happen to have someone selling at the lowest and someone selling at the highest prices. This is rare.

Hmm, did you bother to figure the 0.4 weight into your calculations? Makes a huge difference.
just bought a noc blade on BB for 1200p and i seen another one for sale in auction channel at same time going for 1500p or best offer. its worth paying the extra 1k for this sword

I bought mine for 3k on fennin ro server. Actually 2,943 pp plus an item or two. Love the sword. Wish we had duel wield!!! Couldyou imagine a centi longsword and this? OR 2 of these OR a Sword of Pain and 1 of these OR 2 swords of pain OR a magic wand??? Just imagine the possibilties!!

Noticed today after getting lvl 28 the sword gains a damage bonus.

That would be because at level 28, and every three levels thereafter (if you're a melee) you get a 1 point increase on damage bonus. damage bonus is NOT by weapon. It's by level (and delay is factored in for 2h weapons).

Actually ur wrong. it factors in both. swords have 1 dmg bonus and axes and scythes have anoter for 2hand slashing. for 1hs blunt,piercing they do vary, but you were right about how i goes up every couple of levels. For instance my Shieldtorm had a dmg bonus of 8 at 35-36 and a scythe had 9dmg bonus at the same levels.
Damage Bonus for all one-handers depends on level. Nothing to do with the weapon. Damage Bonus for two-handers depend on delay and your one-handed damage bonus.
