These do still drop off the sand scarabs in the revised (since the last post here) South Ro.

Had the Giant Scarab egg sac once before but "did not relize it at the time" then when I knew I had to have it I started killing the scarab's, I finally after a few days picked a egg sack not sac up.
My question is this, did they change the wording of sac to sack and if so do I need to get a new container box?
I have all items and come to combine them I could not combine.

Update... yes they did change the quest. If your still using the old box you need to get a new one plus the want list. When completed make sure you hand both the box and the list to him.

If you want one of these for the bug collection quest, its pretty much a waste of time to keep killing scarabs for it IMHO. The best way to find them, I find, is to hit all the vendors in Rivervale, all the vendors in East Commons (including the ones in the tunnel), and all the vendors in North Ro. People will usually sell their loot from these zones at these locations, so you have a good shot at finding the egg sac there. The zones are close together too, so you have a good chance at finding one quickly.

i have never recieved one of these off of a giant scarab and i have killed lots are they a rare drop

I've killed a few Giant Scarab's in Butcherblock and have received 2 Eggs and 3 Pristine Scarab Carapices off them. Maybe they drop better stuff in Butcherblock???

Love these as they sell to vendors for several gold pieces. Hunting in NRO I killed scarabs all day long for decent exp and not bad loot at lvl 12-13.
