I had absolutely no problems doing this quest with my 35 rogue. I just used my Dark Elf mask to start the quest, then went to FV without it on, picked up the item and headed back to Overthere. Put the mask back on during the turn-in and that was that. Upgrade arms for my warrior since rogue cannot use them.

Seems this awesome quest has ended. I spent 2 hours sitting at the FV ground spawn and nothing. Too bad, this was the best risk/reward ever.

Yes.. it seems so. I picked up the ground spawn and went to turn it in to the taskmaster in OT and he was no where to be found.
I had done this quest about 10 times before that giving the arms away to friends or selling to a vendor. They sold for 119pp for me. I probably could have gotten more if I tried to scam a player but I couldnt bring myself to do it.

They're selling for 2-3K on Stromm now. Price had been dropping to a few hundred. But, I'm not suprised. Stromm is full of greed and scammers, players like you are a rarity. A CSS goes for 1500pp, /sighs in disgust. I wish i'd gotten the gauntlets for my ranger though. Oh well :)

If your and evil race and try to inv/gather shadows guard will see you and kill you.

At least one guard can see invis and the "bag" was at his feet.
At level 70, I creeped in and the one that saw me attacked and the other one nearby came as well. I casted one root, and it was resisted so I just grabbed the bag and ran for it.

The "bag" is located in the city of FV on top of the outer wall between two guards at the northwest side of the city. The "bag" is no drop so you can not give it to another character. Not sure yet if invis will get you passed all the guards yet or not. If you go through the tunnel you will deal with less guards but there is a guard at the first turn in the tunnel and another one outside the hut at the other end of the tunnel.

I did this quest and the pair I got were AC 25 not 27. Still a great pair of arms for just running to FV and back.

Very nice item for the ease of the quest. Run to FV, pick up plans, go to OT, hand in pland to skelly, get armguards. Only thing that gave me any problems (being a half-elf bard no real problem) was having to run the cliff golem, General V'Deers and another guard away when I got ready to do the turn in.

I cannot BELIEVE that these quest items are not NO DROP ...I mean come on !!!
