i duel wield this with my spined dragon claws which were given to me by a friend and i was lucky enough to talk to someone that just gave me this short sword

Not many bards look for weapons to do damage. Most look for stats for some odd reason. Mostly str and the like, though I am a largely Solo and Charisma bard.
I currently wield a CSS in my main hand and a Symphonic Saber in the offhand. The damage is amazing, but thats because I've got a FRSS on my waist, and if Im tanking or backup melee, I sing both my Whistle and my Anthem. But, any bard wishing to dual wield swords for a long time better have their Jig ready for Stamina boosts!

I got this while i was in the TR of CB. Some 33 ranger came in, asking if he could have any ribcages we find. we let him have what we had, and he healed some of us and left. a few seconds l8er, he sent me a tell that tole me he could give this to me, since i was a fellow ranger. He came back in, and gave it to me, and it beat the sword i was using by a little, but now ill have a good dual weild, combining with my Velium Short Blade at my next lvl. this is a very great sword for my lvl, and i (obviously) got a good deal on it. just my 2cents.

i use this in offhand with frosty in main very nice combo however. i fight with a ranger using lammy/ velium warsword combo along with a shamans haste i have all combos of weapons. a funny thing happen in weapons testing lol. a stone bladed axe in my main and frosty secondary is the only and i have tryed many combos only combination that i keep absolute taunt no questions asked. dunno what it is but any other combo the lammy/ velium will pull mobs. this in heavy zones velks/ acrylia caverns. any other warriors try this combo? ( i know i know the speed thing but i like damage while keeping taunt).

Wow, the price on this baby has really come down I only paid 220 for this in HHK the other day. Great stat bonuses for my low level and good dmg/dly as well.
I am currently using Elder wolf jawbone and the CSS in offhand. These are a good combo for a low 20s like me i will probably use these till my low/mid 30s. I have a Ykesha sword, cant remember if it is the SS or the 1hP?. I cant wait to use at 35!

Just Picked Up my CSS on the Veeshan Server for 800pp and love it..its a Great Combo with the Centi LS or a Sionachies. Average Damage is around 40hp with some hits as high as 69. Plus its added stats make a good balance when not using your Symphonic Saber. Seems not to Aggro any more than other weapons I have.

Personally i would use the crytalline SS if you need stat mods and some average damage. If your looking for some big damage i suggest u take the venomous axe and get some dex items and get that thing proccing.

I got this from a high level guild mate who was very bored at his level and decided to just go kill things. He got this and gave it to me, WHOOT! This is awesome and i wont get rid of it until i get my epic. I have the Centi SS in my off hand that i got for only 200pp from someone who had a Centi LS, and a wurmslayer, WHOOT!

I just traded a spider fur collar for one of these. I think I got the better end of the deal. So far as I know the price on Saryn server is actualy 2k tops ... Ive got this on my lvl 10 bard and its great I cant believe i got this weapon so cheep. I definatly say grab one if you can. lvl 50 Sk saryn server
Yeah you got a great deal. Spider Fur collar, cloak, and belt goes for 500pp tops on Prexus. While CSS still goes for around 1500pp, so good job on the trade :)
I just bought this for 600pp and a yak boy did i get lucky or is everything not what its worth anymore. I think Verant screwed up when they flooded the market with centi stuff. Anyway is it a good deal or what?

You know, i do believe in NBG most of the time. Or at least when you win something you dont roll again until every1 gets something, or u can trade up ur item or whatever. But, especially in sebillis, when im an enchanter, and crowd controlling 20 mobs at once, and a CSS or Lammy drop, ur damn straight im rolling on it. How much caster stuff drops in Seb? Exactly...so its not always fair to let the rogue/warrior etc only roll on these items. I will be quick to drop the group if that happens. I dont come to seb Just for experience, i need some PP too.

I am a 50 Enchanter and just spent 4 hours with my hair on fire playing mezz/haste/slow/tash/crack dance at the NG camp in OS. I rolled on it, and I won. I got some Nitilins pages, but no other caster stuff drops there, so we should always roll on the good junk, IMHO.
If the CSS had been better than what one of our tanks was using...cool. Same as spells, if I already have it, lets all roll so someone can sell it. NBG and fair play should cut both ways.

yes 53 warrior dump the WURMY, i just did myself, i have a GJBS/CSS combo now, for you the speed will help you keep taunt....for me i just like to hit fast

I bought this weapon on Bertox yesterday in EC, I paid 7k for it - it is a very nice weapon. Have seen it auctioned for as much as 10k, but dont know if they were sold. Now my bard duels, css and a symphonic saber - with a sinoche's partisan as a back up piercer. For a lvl 27, not bad weapons. hehe :op Now to get a FBSS, and the twinking will be complete. Any suggestions on a bard belt, I have been told a FBSS is not the best belt for a bard? Any advice would be appreciated.

I curently have a wurmy in my primary, and a lammy in my secondary. I am thinking of switching to a css in my secondary, and the lammy in my primary. Should I do it or not? Thanks for your input.

You always want a low delay weapon in your primary hand to take advantage of main hand dmg bonus. CSS is an excellent 2nd hand weapon due to the nice ratio. Only thing a second lammy would improve is your taunt but prob not your dmg. You need lammy/CSS or lammy/lammy, destroy that wurmy lol...

If the weapon in your primary is faster than the one in your secondary then you will only get a chance to dual wield every other attack. To get a chance to dual wield every attack the weapon in your primary needs to be slower than the one in your secondary.

This old myth again? Primary and secondary are independant, you do not need to make a main hand attack to make an off hand attack, I have made double off hands without having made a main first. The only reason to use a faster weapon in off hand is to bring up that dual wield skill. For off hand you make a Dual wield check to see if you swing, then a 1hs/b/p check to see if you hit, with main hand you just make the 1hs/b/p check so it SEEMS like they are related but they are not, 2 diff skills, 2 diff attacks.

This is strange... I currently weild a CSS in prime hand and a Journeymans walking stick in off hand... i came her to check the Dmg Ratios on these weapons and if this is right i should have the Jman walker in the prime hand!! if you look at the journeyman walking stick info it says 9/24 effect:Tashani (2.666dmg ratio) and this CSS is 12/24(2.0) WTF are they adding the 20MR debuff into the dmg ratio for journeyman walker?? /boggle

Nope the 20MR is not counted in, they calculate on this site dly/dmg, so 24/12 is 2 and 24/9 is 2.666 and the lower the ratio the better.

While it is true that 2 lammys on warrior in the 50's, until the high 40s warriors still tend to do more damage than any other class in a normal group. So hold on to your weapons for fifteen to twenty lvls, then spend some time in GFay trying to trade them in.

I know a lot of tanks here are talking about the effectiveness, etc. of this weapon, but to add my 2cp, this is an amazing offhand choice for a rogue. I know many rogues using piercing only, but with high 1HS skill, I slash as often as I pierce, and for insane amounts of damage with this puppy. And having piercing plus 1HS skill makes you more versatile (when you die and are naked, helps to be able to effectively wield any lil weapon you pick up for a long corpse run..)
If you can afford it (about 8-10k on my server), I definitely recommend picking one of these guys up.

I completely agree. I currently use this weapon as my second weapon and love it.
Not to mention, the INT bonus helps when you work those tradeskills.

Just bought it on Inny for 3400pp, yeah the prices are *really* down these days.
And I totally agree with the above poster, this weapon is a great offhander for rogues, especially 51+ when your damage cap is gone. Even unbuffed with only ~150str I slash for 50+ with that sword - and it slashes fast and often :-)

Lammy in the offhand is pointless because the delay is longer and does less damage, the CSS would be my choice, and use the BloodFire when you have Shammy buff :-)

Not true with the offhand recycle. They are completely on a serpate timer than your onhand weapon. Currently use a Jade Mace and CSS so I have a little bit of experience in this.
The animations do get a bit weird when using a very fast weapon (delay 18 on the mace) with a slower weapon (css). Usually only about 1 in 4 cycles will show a swing animation with my offhand. But when I loot at the Chat log with hits, its what I expect. Crush-Slash-Crush-Slash expect for when I fail a duel wield check on my offhand timer or when the mace's cycle laps the CSS's cycle.
