Lambent Ruby  

 

Lambent gems themselves are not dropped off creatures. It takes a bit of work to get them, actually. What you need to do is to find the base gem (be it a fire opal, sapphire, etc.) from either an NPC vendor or from a PC. Secondly, you need to pick up a lambent stone. The easiest place to pick up lambent stones is in the rATHE Mountains off of the Hill Giants. The reason I say this is the easiest place is that this place is absolutely FULL of Hill Giants. (The lambent stone drops aren't exactly common, but they're not terribly rare either. Kind of in the middle, to tell you the truth.) You could always auction for the lambent stones, but people tend to squeeze us bards a bit. Usually they ask for about 20pp a pop. When you have the base gems and a lambent stone, take these items to Gardern and he will combine the components to form the lambent gem.
