Eye of the Dark God  

 

I killed the Golemns earlier in the morning, while the zone was repopping. Later in the day, I peaked in again, and the zone was fully populated plus Cazic. Engaged Cazic, he summoned everybody, swarm killed the entire zone and ironically found my eye on the first Squidguy I looted. Really, really fun - try it sometime. Jabober survived the whole mess with my merc out.

I zoned in and ran straight to the fire ring. I had built myself a nice train doing this but with full buffs and self DS I barely fell below 80% health before all but one was dead. Seems the Ireblind is a wee bit harder to kill, and pops tons of enraged mobs. But still he barely got me below 70% health before he and his friends died. Though I had to med now as he took about 30% mana from me. Once at the temple I just ran around and grabbed everyhting. Almost was a bad thing as with the chain agro I ended up with a few more then I had expected but when they were all dead I was at 30% health and 50% mana. Now on to my blonde moment. :( I did this to clear the way for my baby SK (61st lvl) for her 1.5 drop. Well after everythign was dead I ran her into PoF and to the temple just to watch the corpses go poof wiht her unable to loot.
So a bit of advice to anyone doing what I did. have the person who is to loot be in group AND in zone or they will not be allowed to loot before the corpses go poof. :(
Did they change the respawn time on the trash in PoF? Anyone know what the new respawn time is for it?

i went into plain of fear a few days ago and the first mob i killed droped it. am i a lucky man?

I have been in pofear for like 5 hours now trying to get the bard epic piece for his epic and looted this off of a mob seeing as how I was the only one in zone and no sk's on in my guild and am wondering if this is mq'able? any information would be helpful thanks.

I am level 68 with pre-EP gear and obtained this drop with just the help of one other person, a 70 SK.

We zoned into PoF on our horses and galloped to the north wall of the zone, just above the fire ring. We had both aggroed mobs along the way but FD took care of that.

We then pulled mobs out of the ring of fire by having one SK (A) run in and tag whilst the other (B) lay FD. A would come back with 6 or 7 mobs and dark one and then FD. After the rest of the mobs wandered back to the temple, B would stand and proceed to killed the darked mob.

Normally the mob would be dead before A even got the message saying that enemies had forgotten him.

Neither of us ever went below 90 percent HP, although A got all his buffes dispelled.

I got my drop on the 2nd kill. My helper said that it had taken him 20 kills and two trips, but was just as easy.

He chose to use his Gate Hammer to exit the zone. I trained the zone out portal in the temple. But I could have used my Origin aaxp or a gate potion, or hammered off a mob myself.

So the only trick to all this is to use your FD.
