Omens of WarActually... smart tanks that want aggro from both shield and offhand know how to use dual wield and still bash with shield at the same time =)
Knights can do the same thing with a 2hs even without 2hbash for max aggro + max dps
bandoleer + hotkey macros pwn
IF your going to dual or 2hs anyway...

Sometimes for ***** n' giggless my guild will have a cleric tank whatever raid target we're after (given it's a mob we've gotten very good at naturally) in such a situation yes, it would help. But 99+% of the time no Furious Bash would not help a cleric.

Does it really matter about the focus? Most warriors prolly have better and almost all tanks I know use 2hd over 1hd and shield for more dps and better ratios.
Point your missing is you will get more bash's in per fight than you ever will off hand procs.
MA/MT is going for agro, to eat the damage, not dish it out.
Go back to the newbie zones scratch out your toon and start over again.

Knights very often wind up using a shield and 1h in the raid stiuation, and often when Knights make the TO they switch out to the 1h/shield combo
this is often better ac, better tanking stats, more hp, and with OOW shield block aa, even better for them, and often Knights will not even turn attack on therefor avoiding 3k reposts OO

Tanks aren't meant to be dps, tanks are meant to take damage. Any tank that uses a 2h for better dps over a 1h + shield for better ac / more hp is an idiot IMO. If you're not tanking, then sure, use the 2h for better dps.

Actually, if you main tank, most warriors would rather have an off hand sword for more procs to gain better agro. As far as hybrid tanks go, most I know have better two handed weapons drop for them than one handers, so if they have a shield, its not getting used much. Of course I have only raided up to elementals at the moment, with Fennin Ro shield under my belt, but for the most part, main tanks wont be using a shield in off hand, it just dosnt generate the agro needed on boss mobs with large raids.
Knight ones will, for two reasons:
A) Can't use offhand, and don't need weapon aggro. We have spell aggro. Especially Shadowknights.
B) With OoW and the Shield block AA, it's a massive help in tanking, since we are innately at a tanking disadvantage raiding, as most raids are built around the defensive disc.
