Mastruq Havocblade Blood  

 

Took about 60 kills or so for me.

Here is what i did:

In the temple area across the blackened river stay to the west side and camp there after you jump up onto the temple courtyard (you'll see what I mean about the jump). Kill all the Spiritbrute mobs you can because for me, every single one acted as a placehold for a Havocblade! Clear the area and re-pops are in 20 minute intervals. Bring a sandwich and expect a long camp based on the other post for this drop. Oh, and the pets do hit hard from 100-400 damage (my AC 2750). So, root the Spiritbrute and kill pet first was the tactic that worked for me.

Totally Random... I would have to say I killed at least 3-4 hours a day for a week straight. Having friends from various guilds and such to help clear the eastern most building next to the temple. Finally dropped for me on Tuesday February 28th at 02:47am MST after about 100-200 kills... not to mention I ran into a couple of other paladins after the same item so they may have gotten it before I did.

Update... bring a friend.. healer preferrably. I ran into a problem where more Spiritbutes were spawning (at least 5-1 ratio) and their pets hit hard and fast... I would try to root the Spiritbutes then pick off the pets before root broke... In most cases this worked. The named mobs in the area have some pretty good augments and items.. there are also several quest items found in quinimi (This might help you entice players to come and join you)

I was told this drop was random, but after keeping the Qinimi courtyard clear for over 4 hours, I am beginning to change my mind on that =/

Might be like VT shard in Ssra - rare, but more commonly found deeper in tunnel. If so, then mebbe the cy is harder to drop it from. /shrug
