Ruins of KunarkI got one of these (along with a few other things) in a trade for my Glowing Black Sword (I wish I would have kept it now, but, oh well :-/). i wouldn't count on getting 300pp for this more liek 150pp and since prices are dropping this sells for nothing, check pvp lammys are 900pp and lower =)

I had a really nice fellow warrior donate one of these to me in HK at 22nd level. I LOVE it! I dont really care what it looks like, if you show it to people through inspect/trade window it looks and is kick ***** I have this comboed with polished granite tomahawk and I can really dish it out. Thanks Haramur on Saryn!
What a shame you can't use it in your off hand. My Dwarf Rogue would love to use this in her offhand with her crystal grinder in primary for backstabs :( Too bad

I bought this a couple of days ago to my lvl 7 SK and i love it. Just 1pt damage less than the Sword of Skyfire and only 3 dly more. I bought it for 200pp on Ayonae Ro server, about 50pp higher than the going rate for it but it was well worth it.
Now that i have tried it out for a couple of days i will keep this until i can get hold of one of the class specific weapons that are better.
If you are a young shadowknight or you plan to start one..get this sword...its exellent =)

i have an ebon razor now on my 27 warr and i liked it. but i am selling it so if you want it sent tell to SBIN on quellious server. i have got up to 31 criticle withit:)

The above price (633) seems pretty acurate .. it has a 1pt dmg bonus to yak and is 1pt slower making it I think .1 secs slower which is almost unnoticable. Then throw in the resistances and you realize until ykesha starts to proc .. ebon is the better weap. However, the fact that its small races only and since it will never proc ykesha, it loses some worth .. so yea that about sums it up.

I got one of these and it works sweet for my bard. I bought it in EC for 100pp, guess the girl selling it just wanted to get rid of it) I have been using it scince i was lvl 22 or so and still have it and a 33 today. So if you come across one, you should invest in it, its a good bard weapon)

Its not the people that want it red its Verrant. If you are not saticefied with it why not send them a complaint and see if they will change it just for little ole you. I dont see anyone else ever complaining about it. Get over it.

"Ebon" isn't "red". "Ebon" is "black". Why do people want it to be red? What would be cool looking would be corruscating black, like that that sword-on-fire effect, but with black flames. And no one would mistake it for the Warrior epic weapon, either. ;)

Umm, Doofus, maybe people think it should be "Red" because thats what it looks like in inventory, moron! Look at the inventory pic! It looks like a deep red short sword with a gold handle. When you equip it it looks like a rusty Short Sword, for Gods sake! Isn't that kinda dumb? Btw, "ebon" is not black, "ebony" is black, and the term "ebony" comes from the Ebony Tree, which has black wood. So "Ebon" doesn't have to mean black. But if the inventory pic looked black, then people would want it to be black! Come on, Verant, if you are gonna give something a cool looking inventory pic, at least make it look like it! I mean, how you feel if your lammy or your Wurmy looked like it does in the inventory pic, but then when u equiped it, it looked like a rusty pike or a long sword? Wouldn't you be pissed? Anyway, I have this sword on my 38 Warrior, to go with my 9-22 Glowing Black Sword. 9-25 ain't all that big a difference, and it has some nice saves. I think I will keep it until I can get a light velium Warsword or something, but this is a darn nice sword for its price, and easy to find. And I have seriously thought about writing verant to tell them to get this freakin' thing fixed, cause its rediculous. they have the same problem with a lot of weapons, that look cool in inventory, but the graphic SUCKS. Anyway, Peace Out.

what you say is true, but sometimes this can be the opposite.
Take for example the validus crustodus weps. they just look like normal wepons, but the pics are amazing. same with wurmy, centi ls, and warrior epic.

They are not a small size race. Only midgets can use the Ebon Razor. No idea why that is, but it is a kind of "nice thing" for us small race players...
the reason why it is only useble for small races is because it drops of of a burynai. if any of you have seen one, they are small mole/badger/skunk like things, so any sword weildable by them would probably be pretty small, thus it is only weildable by the smaller races

no no no.. size doesnt matter with weapons(im sure there are a few exceptions that im unaware of)... and half elves are small-medium race.. as are dark elves and wood elves and high elves... the tiny tiny races are small only.. i think

Race restrictions can be on any item in the game, and Half-Elves aren't a small-medium race, they are medium only. The other elves are small-medium, half-elves aren't.
Graphix are only to show off...

I'm looking for a good one hand slash for my bard, and I'm thinking "I bet an ebon razor would be nice since I can't find anything else". When I come here and look, it says that Half Elves cannot use it. WHY CAN'T HALF ELVES USE ANYTHING!
I feel your pain, my friend. I have a Half Elf Bard who, for the most part, I love to death. But isn't it awful when you pick up a decent weapon that you can't even equip?!?! I thought that I may have been able to weasel my way around the race restrictions on this item by going into Dark Elf form, but lo and behold... still can't equip it. I guess the point of my post is just to say that illusion gear does not allow Half Elves to escape the horrible nerfing that Verant has set for us.

It is weird huh? If you start a Half-elf ranger you will be able to use more things then wood elf rangers. But if you start a wood elf bard, you can equip more things then a Half-elf bard.

There is a whole arenal of Equipment I like to call Melee Class, that Ranger doesnt fall into. Pallys and SKs fall into it, and this also usually includes Rog, War, and Bard.... Bard and SKs sometimes fall out of the 'Melee Class' when using these things, such as SKs cant use Fine Plate and Bards cant use many 2hs that these others use. I wouldnt expect to have Rangers avalible on 1/2 the things you really want... =\... dont worry most rangers have Class specific stuff to make up for these

Their are many reasons why the Ebon Razor is not that good graphical. First, it it DID have a red glow to it people would think it IS the warrior epic or some other epic wep like a fiery avenger/defender/soulfire.
