Omens of WarGrouped there about 20 times so far and Map droped of the feran. Wasn't even looking for it, but realy pleased when i found out what it was for.

Ok I have killed the Feran Savageclaw about 50-60 times now. Only seen the Map drop once. As for the listed as a common drop, I think they are talking about the Blightkeeper on the northside of the zone. Or even the other mobs. On the Savageclaw I would say its a rare drop.

For the hour i was in WoS we killed the yukky feran and he dropped it and some tough meat. We would liked ot have seen a rune or something else drop, but i guess its better than nothing at all.

I kill Feran Savageclaw practically everytime im in WoS...ive never had it drop for me...is it really a rare drop and just says common here?
Seriously, I've killed him at least ten times and not seen it drop.
Which sucks, because I want a healing focus on my arms (I am a shaman), and I'm unlikely to win the elemental arm pattern.

All of the no drop parts for the other armor quests are also for plate. I assume you already have some information on the plate quest, just havn't gotten it posted yet. If not here's a pretty good source of info on it:
