Omens of War I had one drop off a battle-scarred bazu last night. Ive spent alot of time in NC. Ive killed alot of murks, ferans, and dragorns of all kinds and never seen it. Ive had 2 kyanites, one cape, 2 discordant scorae, and 3 slugworms drop in the time ive spent there...... but no shield. Then when i least expect it, it finally dropped. I had given up on it a while ago. I sure as hell felt good when i saw it.
Don't go to NC expecting to get this shield within a reasonable amount of time.

Murkgliders also drop Star Rubies.
The Drakescale Shield drops, it takes awhile to get. Friend got hers tonite and I was trying to get one as well. Camped area for over 3 hours to get another to drop from Murkgliders in Nobles Causeway. It takes time and patience but you can get it there.

I have done quite a bit of grinding in OOW over the years. I've seen several of these drop in Nobles Causeway. I've NEVER seen one drop in RCOD, DS, DC or WoS. Never really messed around in Harbingers enough to judge there.
I'm curious as to where the info about these drops came from?

It dropped off a murkglider (Can't remember if it was a specific type or just 'a murkglider')for me today.
Dropped tonight on a raid. Gratz me.
This is a great item for any class that can use it, currently camping one for my 53 sk. My only advice to anyone looking to get one is bring along a few very devoted friends that can put out some dps because your going to be there for a few. In over 700 various kills at different camps have only seen this thing drop twice.
Does it look like the Lodi shield when equipped?

Dropped tonight off of a Feran and off of a Murk in Noble's Causeway. Looks like it can come off of any mob. It is a rare drop, though.

This is definatley NOT a common drop as listed above. Been camping the DS murks all day and nothing but vendor trash has dropped.
Drops in Nobles Causeway. Pretty sure the listing for Dranik Scar is a mistake.
Just got one last night off the lowest lvl trash ukun in the zone that happened to see invis on the way to RR. I got it all the way across the zone from NC enterance to the group when it dropped. No other see invis mobs on the way and everyone passed in group. Needless to say I was very happy =)

Got the shield last night off of a murkglider in NC. (feb 24th)
Since DoN, the NC drop rate has been nerfed. These don't seem to drop nearly as often as they used to. At least, I used to farm these and the belt, with an average drop of about 1 every 2 days of farming (roughly 300 kills). Since DoN came out, I've had exactly 0 belts and 0 shields, after 10 straight days of farming (roughly 1500 kills).
If you got it before the loot change, grats. If you got it since February 15, please let me know!

Today I got the cloak after 6 hours of camping near WoS zoneline, off a Murkglider.
got this for my druid finally off a dragorn near wos end of nobles. killed many a mob and seen the other drops and wanted this to plunk on my druid while doing AA's on my ranger, luckily for me i had a guildy with me to hold the corpse while logging drood in to loot it.
Also dropped off a battle-scarred bazu. Seems to be a zonewide trash drop.
I got one that was rotting at packmaster camp.

saw this drop from murkglider stalker within 30 mins of a guildy of mine seeing it drop from the same type of mob. i didn't win the roll to loot the item, which actually there is an awful story to tell that goes with that....there were between 4 and 6 of us camping rr/aggressive for several hours not taking the trash off all the dead mobs, seems somewhere between 5a and 10a we got a little lazy on looting since alot of us had not been to bed.....so the shield drops and i happen to find it on the murk, well i let the group know and all that decide to roll on it do, well when the winner was decided which only took like 2 seconds the mob's corpse expired and nobody got the loot....needless to say we were all pretty pissed about this and all like WTF!?! i guess there is a valuable lesson to be learned here: if you are gonna use the dead to do your work for you, don't forget to loot all the corpses for valuables and leave all the junk behind

Have been killing the murks at zone for a while, would guess that I have killed 300+ and never a drop. Finally last night I got the dang thing.
Saw this drop from a mountain bazu yesterday.
Have had 2 drop in the last 3 days from Murk stingers "had capes dropping the 2 days before so go figure"

Been camping the Murks near WoS zone for going on 2 weeks, average of 5 hours a day. No shield yet, but 1 melee cape has dropped. Had to /ooc cloak cause just me and chanter there.
