I found qeynos catacombs to be the best location for these. Fast respawns (1 to 2 ticks) so you can just sit in a spot if you wanted. all mobs seem to be phs for reach other. snakes, cubes, spiders various sized rats. took me 20 minutes to get 8.

I can't believe an old quest I've been doing for over 4 years isn't even listed here for these. In Kaladim South(Warrior Guild) give 4 of these for XP,faction,little bit of coin and junk item(I forget his name,but he's upstairs to the right of the entrance to the guild).
It leads to another quest for a metal rat parts(Cleaner VII spawns in same place in Kaladim North),which then leads to Isle of Erollisi in Ocean of Tears(give Knight "card" to a dwarf smith on back of isle).
And then you can do another quest involving Highpass Keep.

I've killed close to 100 giant rats in Steamfont to complete my Eldritch Collective gloves quest, and not once has this pelt dropped.
I'm heading over to Kaladim to kill giant rats there...maybe the giant rats in this zone are hosed.

I will then present you with the component recipe along with the applicable pattern for [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Sandals], [Trousers], [Gloves] and [Robes]. When you have completed the material for whatever piece you asked for you will combine it in a sewing kit with the appropriate pattern to fashion your armor piece. I do suggest though that you attempt your robe last as the components are more difficult then any other piece to collect.'

To create your gloves material you will need to combine 3 Grikbar Kobold Scalps, 1 Grikbar Kobold Fur, 1 Giant Rat Pelt, 1 Giant Rat Ear and 1 Brownie Leg in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a sewing kit along with this pattern to fashion your very own Gloves of the Collective Initiate.'
