Gates of DiscordI just got this blade the other night. Paid 90k for it LOL and I must say it is absolutely awesome and I love it....I have been looking for an upgrade to my Dagger of Distraction, and was going to get the Rapier of Somber Notes, but its hard saving up 500k. LOL I thought it would be kind of slow with a 23 delay, but I do not seem to notice the difference from the DoD. Anyway thought I would post my thoughts of this weapon...
PS. Before you all start flaming about me buying this weapon and it being no drop, I'm on Firiona Vie server and this is not no drop there, most items aren't...

how bout we just flame ya for picking a server that basically destroys any sense of accomplishment for being able to get such a weapon

Well the way I see it, You have to be in a premier guild to even get into the zone where this drops. And some people cannot get into those premier guilds cuz of work and rl stuff. I work till late in the afternoon, and do not get on till late in the afternoon, well after those guilds have started raiding. So I do not have the choice to join those guilds, which I would have if I could...And besides, I don't play EQ to feel accomplished or better about myself, I play EQ to have fun and nothing else.... SO....Mr I need EQ to feel accomplished /flame on =D

I just got this sword tonight and it is GREAT! Dropped of the Devestating Construct in Uqua. I was really happy, and considering I am the only raiding bard in my guild I didn't have any competition for it. It seems to proc alot (I have weapon affinity 3), and is GREAT dps with low dly. Morell-Thule Server first!

Yay, this would replace my songblade of the eternal! 25 mod vs. 26 mod... slight upgrade, but it counts! I'd still keep SoE around for the clicky haste, though. Hmm... compare the two... Similar stats, 2 more ac on Anthems, 22/20 songblade, 26/23 Anthems... 5 more hp/mana on Anthems... proc on anthems, group haste clicky on songblade. Not a huge upgrade statwise. The usefulness of the proc would be limited, too.

I suppose if I had this it would only be used in group where I could pull singles... OR an AE group in a regular Ldon mission.

Does that sound like it was meant to be a single target proc to you?
They might change it (only cause it sucks and they *seem* to be listening to the player base a little more lately), but I highly doubt it.
Maybe a bard could use this in a PoF ae group.../shrug.

Ring of... port spells for druids are single only..doesnt mean it has to be an ae

Guess you've never seen warr AE groups...and a bard is always handy in those if he can add DPS so live and learn
