Seems they brought back the Skeletal Army. Looted this as well as Shortbow of the fighter and others last night.

As of April 12th, the armies were still popping and the loot still dropping.
I have no idea when this will end, someone has suggested the 15th.

Yes I thought that too, just killed a few with a druid. 4/16/2004 they are still up, but i think tonite is the last.

Are these items only dropping for a certain amount of time? If so, should they still be dropping now? Haven't played in a while and would like to try and get some of these drops. Thanks for any help.
My bard had looted one of these and while cmaping some mobs I decided to run through my inventory with the identify song. When I picked this up Long forgotten knowledge sifted through my mind.

Ok just some info on the spawn times/frequency of these dudes. Was fighting in Steamfont the other day with my 52 ranger trying to find this weapon (i just love the graphic) and about 5 commanders will pop at whatever time at night they do (think 7 or 8 pm game time) but then they will continue to spawn throughout the night. They all despawn at 5 am, found this out the hard way with a commander and this weapon at 8% hp... sigh....
Good thing is, their corpses dont poof at 5 am. I know its unusual i was just worried that they would so hope that will dispel fears for anybody else out there.
Was a quite easy fight... started at 60%hp 60% mana ended at 15% hp and 35% mana with kei... could have healed easily but couldnt be bothered as it was 4 am i didnt have much to worry about.

ps. in the two commander kills i have done so far i've gotten one bow, one mask and one 2hb wpn for my bsty twink.

Butcherblock and EC are ridiculously crowded because of Wayfarers.
I got one of these for my Zerker twink in Tox on a Saturday afternoon (3pm EST) and I was the only person in the zone. I figured it would have been more crowded with it being a weekend. I wouldnt be surprised if Qeynos and Steam are less crowded as well because tey don't have a Wayfarers camp either.
Just my 2cp on getting this.
Woops I clicked the wrong item. I meant to post under the Steel Rod of the Knight (Since Zerkers cant use 1HS)... But the point was Tox is less crowded...
Yea you can't hardly find a commander in BB or EC. Me and my friend went to Steamfont one day and spent about 3 hours killing commanders. We got every possible loot (least I think) and managed to get it to all our newbie charactors. Best spot if your a tracker is near the windmill. Camp your newbie charactors near the guard (or hill if KOS). I sometimes seen 1 or 2 people camping them htere, but not much.

Do the commanders in the different zones all have a chance of dropping any of the items or only a few in each zone. We were fighting in the Feerrott last night and the only things dropping were the earring, bow, and 2HB weapon. In BB I have seen this drop several times and the shoulders once. Is it just coincidence or what?
Coincidence. I've stayed out of BB and EC because they're always full of people waiting on LDoNs but I've seen every drop item fall in the Steamfonts and the Feerott.

as of right now these proc at lvl 1 tested on my alt rng when i made him after seen bow drop have all but the earring now
