they reactivate the quest but the mob that drops it is from a zone that no longer exists and the wisps in the new zone don't drop it... unless i have just been unlucky...
They are there. I killed about 10 willowwisps in Commonlands today and I got one. Just takes time and luck.
A ranger's life is truely to solo these worlds.
I did find some willowisps in the Commonlands - maybe they just put them in for the anniversary. I found them in the east area. I also found some out just west of the toll booth and that is where I found the Collector's lightstone.

Eventually pulled onbe of the merchants in the huts next to the Crafted Armour-shrinking dwarfs, something Hobbitfriend. There were 3 wisps trapped under her, all 3 dropped collectors lightstones :p

Done this quest five times so far for friends and alts, working on a sixth and have spent well over 2 hours looking for the collectors lightstones this time, when it's never taken more than 20mins. I know the quest is still active, since I've gotten other parts in the same day with normal enough drop rates.. very odd.. I wonder if they accidently broke the spawn since I can't see them nerfing it on purpose. Shame that the next patch will remove the quest :(
I went into WC to look for these Wisps yesterday and I spent about 20 minutes there and nothing. Usually there are bears and wisps with undead gnolls but Nothing, only orc's, Gix, skellies, and the guards.. This was very strange. I was stumped on why nothing was populating this usually overstocked critter zone.
Anyway, I will do it again tomorrow. But this is very strange... call Scully and Moulder on this one but Moulder said it was beyond mere mortal fundementals and better let sleeping dogs lies... HAHA..

Does this ONLY drop in West Commonlands, or anywhere with wisps?
That would be the land of Kizdean Gix. West Commons. I dont care if I spelled his name right. the only one who should care is him, for his headstone.
