sarnack claws(eitchatka i think) are 7/33, but the decrease in speed is offset by 3 dex and 15 hp. If i had to choose, i'd probably go for the sarnak claws, but that's just an hp hungry rogue talkin' if you want something that is "holy@#$!" fast, then these are really decent
Raveena Sablerose rogue of 29 seasons order of the Crimson Talons Luclin server
I have 2 sarnack enforcers, Bladed Thulium Claws, i have every thing i need for a screaming mace, and some great 2hs wep that i cant think of name :/ it hits for 29 most hits with the damage cap for under 20's. My question is, should i dual wield with this stuff, or should i us the massive 2h. When should i switch? (maxed out in 1hb, 1hs, and 2hs) and what is the best combo of the dual wielding wepons i have?
While it would help to have more information, I am going to attempt to answer your questions. The bladed thulian claws have a better ratio (3.9), and are faster than the sarnak enforcers (7/28, ratio of 4.0). If you are a warrior, this is good, as faster speed means more taunt, and better ratio means more damage. If you are a ranger, this is not so good, as you will be more likely to taunt the mob off the main tank, and shouldn't do that, as your ac and hp will be less than the warrior. However, for those times that you ARE the main tank (it happens at this level) the thulains are very good. I would go with the thulian claws, and a sarnak in secondary (for warrior, or tanking ranger). You'll get any strength based bonus every time you hit with the primary, which will be often with this. This is particularly important if you are a large race, with very high strength.
Don't waste your time on the screaming mace. It has 8dmg/35dly, for a ratio of 4.375. The proc (basically yaulp) doesn't make up for the ratio difference. The sarnak enforcer is a much better ratio, and that is nore effective than a proc that might not even go off during a given fight. I used a screaming mace for about an hour rl time, and with a dex of 75, it never procced, not even once). This was at lvl 20, so it was not the level of character that was a problem. Also, even if it does proc, the strength added will only make a small difference in primary weapon damage, while the slow delay will significantly reduce secondary damage.
I can't address whether you should use the 2hs, as I don't know what it is. However, since the damage cap basically makes any weapon a 14 damage, while under level 20, It would need to be better than 54 delay, just to keep up with the primary claw in damage per minute (not counting strength bonus). If it is better than that, (BABS, mithril 2hander), you'll get more damage out of the 2hs. However, if you notice that you are having problems keeping taunt with this weapon (again, assuming you are a warrior), I would switch back to the thulian/sarnak combo. If not a warrior, that's even more reason to use the 2hs. But make sure to switch the others in long enough to keep the skills maxxed each level. BTW, get your 2hb and piercing skills maxxed as well.
While hitting all the vendors in Felwithe and Kelethin one night for bone chips for a Necro guildie friend my then 12th level enchanter found one of these for 23pp and an Advisor's Robe for 47pp within a half hour. She still wears the robe and my 14th Troll SK happily uses this for about one bubble of ep each level to keep his 1hs maxed before switching back to his Nathar Greatsword. Plus it just looks cool on him combined with a velium round shield and weighs next to nothing.
Damage bonus is relatively new. Basically, as your level improves so does the damage bonus. The damage bonus seems to get added to your final damage after it runs through whatever formulas are ran. For example, my axe has a 40 point damage bonus to it. I hit for about twice the listed damage of a weapon without a damage bonus and when I use this axe, I hit for twice listed damage +40. This is only a rough idea since I occasionally hit for less than 40 damage, but it'll atleast give you an idea of the maximum capability of the weapon.
Well, it's not exactly new. It's just new that they are displaying it on the item info. Damage bonus has always been there, if only behind the scenes. One thing to add to the summary about the bonuses...in general higher your level, the bigger the bonus. And specific to 2 handed weapons, the slower the weapon, the higher the bonus will be.
I've had this since about lvl 20, when I traded a Sarnak Pitchitka for it <grin>. I am still using it at 30, although I am looking for a better wep at this point. I use a Kylong hunting knife in my off hand, so I'm still doing a respectable amount of damage, and the fast delay on this is great for fighting casters. I generally recieve a "caster_00's spell was interrupted" message at least several times in a given fight with one, and when your fighting monsters with 250 DD spells, that is a wonderful message to see.

Very Fast , and a great weapon , as long as you fight with dual weps. Not enough damage if this is your sole weapon. I fight with it in my primary and a PGT or Velium Longsword in secondary . I've been told it is very immpressive to watch.
um can it be used as a secondary in dual wield? would it be good for a rogue with a primary piercing weapon? just asking..does anyone know what is a good secondary for a rogue?
My rogue alt uses a velium short sword, dmg 10 del 24. I interupt casters a lot with it combined with my 10/22 dagger. I think i traded like an oracle robe, and something else worth a few hundred plat for it.
My rogue alternates (used anyway, he's retired atm) a silvery war axe (6/22) and a yak club (9/24) offhand. The yak club was pretty expensive, a blackjack (7/21) would be a closer match to the claws here.
No...Primary only. Dragoon dirk is pretty good for secondary piercer, that's what I use with my Barb warrior 8 ). Or you can try with a screaming ace in offhand for 1HB development. Plus, screamer is a kewl short-lived Str buff.
