I have the Achievement Palace of Ghiosk Key but can't open door because I don't have key.

hmm I did not have this issue on Teek.
looted key, clicked door. got achiev and the key poofs when you try to grab it from bags. clicked door again with key gone and it opened.

I had to look this up because I took a long break from EQ, had this on my ring and could not remember what it was for.
I did remember what the trakanon idol was for though :)
Maybe it should put the zone (City of Mist) after a key on your ring. Or I should just remember.

I had 2 Captain of the Guard in the same area not far apart from each other. They were in the "Goo House" - Arena with PvP Area according to EQ Atlas. I got one for me and my alt cleric

ok my alt is going to lead a raid here but not for reavers one thing you people didnt say was if somone has a key and is going on a raid with lets just say 29 peeps does the 29 people also need a key or just 1 person i am going to lead a raid probably around the stables somone please answer my question and i hope this answeres any further questions that anyone has about this
only one person needs the key, it's a standard door (open door, people file in, close door, open door later for the afk people)
However, if your just raiding around the stables you don't need this key; though you will probably get a few to drop.

This key must be in an inventory slot when you click on the door. It's not one of those keys you hold. BTW, the Captain of the Guard spawned in the stable area for me today...

This is the key to the black reaver castle. I was curious today and clicked the door. It opend! Not only that, this key gets added to your keyring.

If you are on FV and this mob is green to you then does that mean that this key trivial?
Ok - you said what this key Does NOT open . . . what does A STONE KEY open??? I got it off the captain - now what do I do with it?

This does not drop from the captain every time, although it does quite often.
Also, this key will only allow you in as far as Ghiosk's reaver, and the hallway behind. You will still require a rogue to pick the elevator to reach Rak'Ashiir, or to pick the door at the end of the skyway to get to Neh'Ashiir

This key drops from Captain of the Guard ... an easy named mob that spawns randomly in CoM. Seen him lots of times in the stables area and in or around the waterfall temple. Drops the key every time. Hope this helps.
