I agree. I have never seen them drop off the Capt and have seen them drop off the SMALL sentry dogs in KC twice now. I think they are a small dog only drop. Just as the Bard boots are only off the large guardians. Hope this helps.

First the ever so annoying remark I can't refuse to share: I bought these and a pair of withered leather legs for 1k total. :D
Back to facts: I love these sleeves! I know drifting death is a better dot, but still using these sleeves I don't have to think about the mana when dotting! And they look good! Me happy! (Of course they are not useful for all occasions, but many enough!)

Don't get me wrong. I have found these very useful, and dammit, they look pretty spiffy on me Halfie (least my arms don't look like newbie gear anymore).
But what the HELL is the deal on the AC of these things??? They have 1 AC LESS than the ES Gauntlets for crying out loud (9AC, 5.0 wt) and they weigh more!?!?! I am wearing these in place of a pair of the Imbued Studded (Halfie Cultural) which gained me 2AC and 5.5 stone in weight (and cost me 2 wis/stam).

I saw thise guy being ran down to zone with half hp, i didnt want to KS so i backed off when i got a tell from their group saying i could kill him he droped these arms and i relized they were so good so I camped him for 5 days he droped 3 arms (too bad they are lore) 2 Lupine Daggers and loads of Drolvarg Mantles hope this helps =) Good Luck

Onre more note on the prices of things, every time an expansion came out the prices of all the items before the expansion are lowered, example plat wis ring 6wis 400p before velious, 150p after velious, this is because velious gave people +1 more wis on a ring slot for only about 100-300 more p then they were paying already, this is the highest +wis item for ring slot too so it makes it more expensive and 6wis ring less expensive. When kunark came out it had uber stat items and everything before kunark came out had sucky stats, I mean look at the jewelry! Kunark changed the economy totally, velious changed it a lot too with all the uber quest armor and +wis/int hand haled/range items. ok I'm done....

How many items (not no drop) are there for boots that give wis? About 4 or so. Thats makes +wis boots rare, therfore, more expensive. Hand held items with +9wis are going to be less expensive because there is +10wis +10mana off hand book thats is very easy to get at lvl 20. See the logic? More +wis items for that slot=less money. Although if the item has ammounts of wis for that slot that no other item has (like eboots) its going to be more expensive too. Example:Ivy hoop +6wis/int, highest int/wis for ear slot (that isn't no drop) makes it very expensive because people want max wis/int in every slot. Its very hard to get too because A, you must find the quest NPC and she is rare. B, you must give her a gem that costs about 150p (if my memory serves me) and you have a very very rare chance of getting this earring, hence really high price.
Yes, that is all true, however the GEBs are about as easy to get as the Crafted Boots with way less wis.. Freeti is an easy camp to get if you can get the people to go with you.. and I still dont got them cause I can never get the camp, or people to go to the camp lol. Anyways, the GEBs are a bit harder to get with a lot more wis, and more people that can use them.. the price for them are starting to level out now... average price on Bristlebane is around 6k... I dunno, but pricing on EQ is crazy... hehe I dunno, I just want the GEBs by fighting for them, not by buying anyways, as all my gear has been obtained by myself with exceptions to my Polished Mithril Mask, and my reed belt.. maybe something else. Anyways the post I previously posted to this topic is old, and my knowledge much less great hehe, but conclusively, your right, and I just want me some gebs lol... the ES arms are pretty rare to get fighting in Karnors, and rough to solo many mobs there at once. mind you, i am not uber in anyways at all hehe, but after accidently destroying my bag with the arms in it for the 2nd time the other day, I am getting the feeling Tunare doesnt want me to have em! lol

The only reason they would sell for so much ( or used to ) is because you save slots. You can't use 5 boots...you can only use one.

Well at least the ssmal annoying dogs have som purpose other then to just randomly get sloughtered. First time my druid came into karnors he we luckey enough to get these... Talk about a happy Tree hugger. Lvl of proc is 46 and the effect does a 300 point dot. In combonation with root a ruid can solo all the time with zero down time.. Just takes a while to kill things, But hey would u rather just be sitting there medding or sitting there medding while killing some thing? Damn nice item not as good as the velious quest armor but a must need for any druid.
Just wanted to check that proc lvl is still correct as 45/46. I thought min lvl to use proc was = to lowest lvl that any class gets the spell?? maybe that's wrong, but if not, then since drones is a 34 druid spell why can't druids proc this @ 34?

Starts to proc at 45, not at 46. The spell does 340 damage in 60 seconds. Downside is the relatively longer casting time, but is quite worth it considering it'sa free 141 mana.

Listen people these vambraces you think may suck. Aye i got a pair they do take a long time to cast but from lvl 45 you can use these things to lvl 52 and solo easily. Until 49 just stack Immotiate and This root snare and your good. Best used in Dreadlands or Eastwaste.

The spell Drones of Doom stacks with the level 52 spell Breath of Ro (920 damage +decrease fire resist+ lower AC) and the level 53 spell Winged Death (1287 damage). So...I can waste 250 more mana for 650 damage in Drifting Death, or waste 0 mana in 360 damage of Drones of Doom (All of the 50+ spells stack with the level 49 and below spells, i.e. you can have a 50+ fire and magic DoT and a >49 fire and magic DoT, but not 2 of the same range). This item rocks, I just cant seem to get one to drop =(

I could just about med back the 250 mana for Drifting Death in the time it takes ES arms to cast Drones of Doom =)
The only time this DoT is anywhere near useful is when you are soloing something like the dino that takes 4 DoT cycles to kill.
In a group, a warrior will do more than 360 dam in just a couple rounds if that.

Why does everyone think that being level 50+ means that you have a 200 wis. Mine was 190 untill i bought my ES vambrance(5kpp). Now i have 187 and 3 less str as well. Tell me how to get 200 wis. I could use it.

The flaw in your logic is in your example. There are very few wis/int items for the feet. Doesn't matter that the velium ruby veil is 1k, there's a lot of different face items out there with either wis/int/mana whatever you're looking for, with the exception of the halfling anklet GEB's are argueably the only foot wis/int item before velious. That's why the price has now been dropping, (along with the saturation of them into the economy.) In closing. the reason GEB's were so high and were kept there was because GEB's = massively uber footwear. :-)

Once this effect is available you already have drifting death. But I suppose if you are the solo type this could be used to your advantage to root dot. anyhoo, I predict this will come down to 3K soon, especially since there are so many higher lvl players now, and this is not that uncommon a drop.

These are some nice vambraces. I got some the other day and couldn't be happier. The Drones of Doom spell is a lvl 39 druid spell, but it costs no mana and you can never beat that. It does however have a long casting time, I believe it is double what Drones of Doom, in your spell book, normally takes. One thing it doesn't show in the picture is that they are lore.
