Strength raises the ATK that makes you hit more easy. It also makes you hit harder.

Yeah it's not like strength raises your attack so you can hit better, therefore helping to maintain aggro. Nor is it like strength can help you wear all that heavy plate so that you can tank.

These vambraces are great for the STR-challenged Shadow Knight races: the Erudite, and Human minority, as well as the popular Dark Elves. SKs are, naysayers be damned, tanks - and as tanks, these races need more STR than Mother Nature provides, and lighter armour than the burly, stupid Ogres (for whom Sentient might actually be a better choice, if they'd like to see their spells stop fizzling).
The AC in this case is better than both Fine Plate and Sentient Vambraces. The weight is also only 3.2, compared to a whopping 6.5 on both Fine Plate and Sentient, again recommending these arm-pieces to races that are STR-deficient.
