Dropped on 8/11/9. Best map I have seen is still on eqatlas. Easy to follow what tunnels lead where etc. The ferocious hammerhead room is clearly and accurately marked.
Friend of mine heard me talking about this box and bored she decided to camp. Dropped for her after I think 5 PHs. She's been AFK camping it for the past couple days and I don't think she's seen it since.
Went through 6 cycles before named poped and dropped it with nothing else. I soloed this guy with a 57 wiz (no AA's or raid gear) on this server and a 70 wiz on stromm with max AA's
Max hit was 120 with 866 AC and 2k HP 57 wiz. I found his Ph roaming in the room above killed him and went back down to his spawn room. 6 cycles later and I'm one hell of a happy wizard. You can find a map to his spawn location at eqatlas.com
Notice this is not a tagged lore. So assuming if you were VERY patient (or crazy) and wanted to camp this FOREVER, you could have your inventory full of them? Will post my findings in a couple years...
Took about 36 hours of off and on camping of the PH for him to even spawn once. He's on an 18 minute timer so I'd say the spawn has to be around a 1 in 50+ chance. Kinda sucks when the chest is rare. =(
Can someone please tell what mob(s) drop this item, and where about in Kedge Keep I should be hunting? Is the mob a named creature? Is this mob undead? Is this an ultra rare drop?
I've read the other posts, (as of this date) and there seems to be a lot of debate as to whether or not this is a nice item or not. Some classes including monks (14 stones is their penalty free limit) will not love this container, but I am a Beastlord, and I want as many of these as I can get. With an unbuffed str of 190, (280 buffed and still working on AAs) I can easily handle 80 stones of weight. When farming hides at 3.5 stones each, I can become encumbered very quickly. When working on tradeskills, I commonly weigh between 500 and 1000 stones. There are plenty of other times I wish I hade 10 slot 100% weight reduction containers.
Another reason for having these is the rarity of the item's image. If I open up the bank inventory and my player inventory, I could be looking at about 25 Hand Made Backpacks. Currently I have a Rallic Pack and 2 Deluxe Sewing Kits and they make my life much easier. At least I know what are in those containers, heh. By the way, as bank storage, trader satchels are only semi-useful because they are No Drop.
This container is 100% weigth reduction, 10 slot, tradeable, 10 stones, not Lore, giant size and has a rare item graphic. All in all, I think this is a very good item for many but maybe not all classes. In the end, how you play EQ will determine an item's usefullness as much if not more than the item's intrinsic stats.
Look, you people.. This thing holds GIANT items so it can hold anything in the game, and it is 100% weight reduction. And the weight of the container is 10, so what, IF you need this you will probably be taking it on a raid or other things where you are the ML and an ML can have up to 60lb of stuff from the mobs, and if its a raid.. more like 100, and the monks, this item isnt so bad, the peacebringer is 10lb and lotsa monks use it.. so quit yer whinin
my brothers de his str is 113 with str rings and darkforge gear what you do is this get both bags from guk and then try to get this one then you can carry alot
i think very nice box i got a nice selection of reducers this would be nice also. i am caster low str but can handle 10 stone if it means i save on the spare stuff i carry around like 2 procing staffs and lots of general loot. monks stop moaning thats all you ever do if you got a problem about how much you can carry well play a different class.
Just a thought ... who cares about weight reduction if it is in the bank? Other then looks, unless you can handle 10 stones (so much for us monks) this can only go on our larger warrior friends.
ok, 10 slots... but the pic doesn't SHOW weight reduction like they do now... is it really 100%... oh and by the way... what size items can it hold... small? large? giant?... would make a cool bank container!

You can do better for a bank container. This holds large sized items (not giant), exactly the same as tailored backpacks. You can buy 10 slot containers that hold giant sized items from vendors for a little over 1pp. One 10 slot purchasable container that comes to mind right off the top of my head is a toolbox sold by the gnomes in Iceclad, and there may be others.
I would disagree with the statement that the Trader satchels are the best in the game for the single factor that the Trader Satchel is No Drop. :( This makes it much harder to do large equipment transfers. My experience has shown that the best Bank Box is the Deluxe Tool Box. It is easily acquired at the Gnome Pirate camp in Ice Clad Ocean and now its available in the new Planes of Power expansion in the Plane of Knowledge. The Deluxe Sewing Kit would also be nice but as I recall, and I could be mistaken, they are no longer available for purchase in the game. You can only get the sewing kit from other player characters now.
What about the new newbie quest boxes, there 10 slot giant (i think) and weigh 10 stones, but their free, and perfect for the bank, just wander around the guilds in the citys and pick 8 or so up and just put them in the bank, their perfect, and free
Guild went to Kedge today and we got this before Phinny annihilated half the guild on a bad pull. Very nice 100 percent weight reduc item . The one main drawback seems to be that it also is very heavey at 10.0 stones. Nopt much a hinderence for larger races of the tank type.
Well there's the irony for you. A weight reducing container that weighs 10 stones. The classes that need a weight reducing container the most can't use it becuase it's too heavy. The classes that can easily handle an additional 10 stones of weight don't really need a weight reducing container in the first place. This item's right up there with the solor-powered flashlight as one of the most rediculously useless items in existance.
Obviously you've never played a high level melee before.
How many of us tanks melees carry 2-3 extra weapons... How many of us tanks melees carry 3-5 extra armor pieces...
<raises his hand>
HOW MANY OF US ARE SICK OF HEARING MY MONK CAN'T LOOT!!!!
<notices all the others raised theirs as well>
After carrying around 2-3 weapons (mostly those that have procs and that i can do 80+ damage with) I'm at 110 / 125 str .. why? you ask? because I don't have uber planar armor.. or that 200+ str from all that great gear. My str is around 120 most of the time unbuffed...
So next time someone says a melee doesn't mind carrying the extra 10 stone just wait till we quit agroing the mob during a fight cause our lil 2 stone weapon only does 15 points of damage... or our weapon that does 80+ damage is so slow it doesn't matter what we do.. (btw i use MoSS and 2hs Lammy the lammy is 10 stone.. so yeah i'd be trading wgt for wgt but then i could put my shield in there, moss, spear, lance, other helm as well and some of my resist gear.. and lose almost 20 stones from all that...) so next time you say "The classes that can easily handle an additional 10 stones of weight don't really need a weight reducing container in the first place." Think about what your saying.
Cheap weight reduction is always excellent. Many level 60's can afford tinker bags these days, but the rest of us scrape by with what we can get. I'm currently holding a Rallic Pack, a Large Burlap Sack, an EE bag, and yes, one bag of the tinkers for weight reduction on my 4 extra weapons and full suit of resist gear. The rest of my slots are filled with hand-made backpacks (and one legacy deluxe sewing kit). Equipped with these weight reduction bags, I can masterloot heavy gear for a good while and still keep my spare gear in the bottom two bags. To the point, this is an overweight tinkers bag that won't set you back any more than a peridot for your group's cleric AND won't automatically go to a monk. Go help someone pick up their kedge epic piece! At the very least, you ought to make some friends that can help you out when you're needing to camp Ragefire. Peace.

It says its very rare, this would be pretty nice to have, not as great as bag of the tinkerers due to the extreme wait but still, 100 percente' wait reduction isnt bad if your looting FS and stuff
