I just bought one of these to level my 2HS on my Pally. I found that it was procing nicely (lvl 48). But a bit more about the proc is that not only does it drain the mob of 50Hps, but it also adds those HPs to your health.
With that said, a nice 100 point proc. Good blade to have if your a bit hasted too.

Why is it that Allakhazam lists it as Sword of the Crypt Creeper, when in my inventory, it says Sword of the Crypt Keeper

EDIT: My Pally with this sword just dinged to 35 about 10 minutes ago, and I can now 100% confirm that the proc begins at 35, for the full spell effect.

This blade has been nerfed... it used to proc for my 15th level paladin now at almost 20 I get your will is not sufficient

The blade has had its proccing level changed. It used to proc 2-3 times a fight not it doesnt proc at all ( L34 ) and I get the old familiar "Your will is not sufficient..... " what a bummer
I got this sword today in the bazaar for little over 2k. Looks great. About the proc: It doesn't proc for me ( level 31 berserker )-- (today is march 24th 2004) i dont know if it ever did proc at level 1. But now it doesn't. It has a recommended level of 55, so i suppose it will proc then. Just thought i would share this bit of info.
For those who are in to the eye candy, like me the graphic looks like this. It's a rather small graphic. Little less than the length of a Centi Longsword. It has a nice claw looking handel that hooks up. It does NOT look like one of those old cheap ones thats just a brown handle and some metal.. It doesn't fit MY look as well as the Weighty Polearn (I had a whole style going around it, i looked cool) but statwise, its great.

Actually, as of March 22nd patch, this has been FIXED to no longer proc at level 1.
Yes, this is a FIX, not a nerf. People throw that word around way too often. A weapon of this caliber, not unlike the CHoS, should not be proc'ing at level 1.

Very good for the berserker, procs at level 1, nice to get that healing feeling.
Wish Allakhazam would update this though, so that it can be added to Zerker profiles, currently not listed as equippable.

Great twink item for my new Zerker. I procs once per fight on average. And at low levels you don't lose much more than 50HP per fight. W/ this sword I can solo non-stop and pretty much stay 95% or better HP b/c of Proc.

I traded a Waikishu of the Frozen Skies and a Brown Chitin Leggings for 1. I twinked my level 1 berserker with it, and to my surprise it not only proc'd but healed me as well. SO it technically proc's at any level
Great twink wep for Ber class, I was bored couple of days after GoD came out decided to lend a couple of bags of gear from my Warrior to see what the class was like. I was supprised that this weapon started procing at lvl one! it was almost like a CH everytime it went off! Sure the dmg mitigation made it a 1/46 at lvl 1 but I was still hitting 16 - 20 with it had a shaman friend of mine buff me with HoS/Sta regen and haste and got to lvl 6 before they all faded, I was fighting red mobs in BB and exp was excellent with wep procing 3-4 times a fight. If you've noticed these have suddenly shot up in price from around 3k to 5k this is prolly why........ I feel a nerf coming

Hey there,
Wanted to post my 2cp here ... I have a 52 Troll Warrior with a running DEX of 179 ... It procs maybe 2-3 times a Mob. I think its freaking outstanding delivering damage. My STR and STA are maxed at 255 ... and I hit in the 200 to 290 range. I have found that since owning this it improves with age ... I think its due to the improvement in skill as one ages ... meaning a level 52 skills are greater than a 50 even though your skills for that appropriate level are maxed ... this may be directly related to people having issues with there proc frequencies and misses ... simular to the recommended level scenario. This however doesnt detour me from having a huge smile on my face as I watch the eyecandy of hitting over 200 a swing ... gives me shivers ... the occasional heal is just a sweet combo. I have seriously considered putting a Anger 2 proc on this ... I would generate Hate, Steal life, and hit for over 200 - should make anything I'm fighting truely angry with me .. LOL. I truely love this in Raid events ... our MT has a Hategiver and a BoC ... so holding Argo for him isn't a issue ... us poor folk are just tring to help the best we can ... so I love eating on the back of Mobs for 200 a swing ... definately worth having and is very cheap too. I would highly recommend this to anyone hands down.

Great Ber class twink wep! I lent a couple of bags of gear from other alts to try the class out and to my suprise the wep proc's at lvl 1, I had a set of shaman buffs HoS/Sta regen and haste and got to lvl 6 before the last one faded! the proc is like a CH at lvl 1 and the longer the fights as you fight mobs with more HP the more it proc'd went off 2 - 4 times a fight, fun wep, I did have my Pallies soulscream belt on so even when shammy haste faded I was still pretty fast with it. have'nt made up my mind about the class yet ~

I use this on my lvl 60 Pally. Damage on it is insane. I usually hit for 250-350. Crits are incredible. anywhere from 400-550. Have had a few cripples up to 800. Getting aggro from a Warrior with this weapon has become very easy. Usually when I go in LDoNs the warrior is the tank goin in but he cant hold aggro while im using this so I end up being the tank. Definitly glad I held onto this weap and didnt go and sell it. Has made a big difference in my damage output and there isnt much Id give it up for.

i was givin this sword by a friend who could not sell it in the Bazaar, since then i have had people offer up to 20K for it. i love this sword and at lvl 56 there is not much better with out doing some hardcore raiding or with tons of plat. i max hit for 236 with 136str 94dex98agi
I'm level 63, and I STILL use it. Why? Damage and Delay isn't the best, but it has an excellent inherit proc for generating aggro, and a slot for a secondary proc augment. This thing deals out good damage (my swings are usually between 200-300 damage, and when I swing 3 times for 230 apiece, thats some nice damage), but when the procs fire, it really shines.
Certainly not something I'll use forever, particularily if I ever start winning roles on some Planar Weapons, but it's by no means a quickly outdated weapon either.

Yea old post... anyways, lifetaps have always been virtually 0 aggro.
To dispel any misconception, this weapon proc'd for my Ogre War at lvl 1. All stat points were put into Str. At lvl 30, this weapon hits normally in the 100 range. I was able to solo Crushbone at lvl 8, and Paludal at 15 with this weapon. I could kill Corrupted Mammoths at lvl 22 (although barely). I have seen this weapon do better in different zones. Netherbethian lair (spelling) I hit VERY frequent. Overthere, not as often, and not as high dam, even tho the con was the same (I'm basing this on yellow con).

bought this sword tonight from someone giving it away to anyone who bought his adjutant's saber for 3k. figured if nothing else i'd sell it for 3k and still have a decent weapon for when i'm not MT in my group. i tried it out just for kicks and loved it except for one thing:
I miss ALOT with it. alot more than i do with 1hs, and both skills are maxed for my level (55) out of 10 swings with 1hs i usually hit 6-8 times, but out of ten swings with this, and other 2hs weapons i have noticed, i was only hitting 2-5 times. this was done with maxxed strength and about 1200 ATK. is there another stat besides STR that determins how much you hit with 2hs? please let me know, until i find out this nice weapon is practically worthless to me. thanks

i always thought DEX or AGI had something to do with how much u hit or miss but i could be mistaken. if anyone could confirm or deny this please i would like to know hehe

i just bought this sword last week and havent used it much but when i did use it, it proc'd often but didnt heal for much of nothing but still a good sword minus the delay i might try it on my alt to see if it will proc with lower levels (O_o)

The proc is vampire talon. Use common sense(vampire?) what do vampires do? Suck the blood(life) of people. Thus Vampire talon takes life away and gives them to you

Wow had just sold one of these to a level 65 War he was som impressed with trying it out he gave me 21k plat for it he said the proc was far mutch faster with haste and strength and he said stamina stayed up good Rofl the player liked it so mutch he offerd to give me his Wind blade and 10k and i just said naw ill just settle for the 21k plat now players are askingme to get some more so lets keep price up Woot!!!!!!!!!!!!
