sure these stats are only mediocre (although well picked and balanced for the intended class), and my necro is a d elf that has little use for the effect, (but then again, you can never over look the potential use of a mana free see invis). but hell, i'd like to have this to just equip while running around socializing, necros look bada** when carring a big ol' scythe! hehe 8P
all and all, definately a sweet item if your not twinked and well worth picking up, even if it is just for how much more awesome you will look while carring it, and to save you from memming and casting deadeye every time you are not sure if you aren't seeing somethin.
I've skipped this quest for quite a while, despite having the original note, but at level 41 the prospect of a free primary item with +5INT is looking pretty good; I now rarely get anywhere near the mobs I'm fighting so I don't need a weapon, and although it weighs a lot, with the +5 STR it's effectively no heavier than my current dagger or smoldering brand.
Edit: for that matter, I'm still carrying it at 57 :). There are plenty of other items I could get, but the permanent see-invis is so handy that I don't want to trade this one in yet. Unfortunately the Bobbing Corpse spell on my right-click ear-ring doesn't seem to include see invis, unlike DMF... plus there are just too many zones where those spells can't be cast.
handed in the syth at the same time I handed in the book for the words quest, now I have 2 notes which are identicle, even identify the same has anyone else had this problem and how did they get around it? (I bet the notes aren't interchangeable).
I just finished this quest for my guild last night. As a 51 druid, I can say it was easy. At mid 20's, not sure. Estate of unrest sucks, as they all see undead, and the werebats see through ITU... I was (stupidly) fighting each damn mob that aggroed me, until I casted wolf, and nothing attacked, making that so much easier. Paid 72pp for fire opal...
Is the harvester only worth 10 pp cause it seems that you wasted your time and money. I have a fire opal and am going to sell it rather than waste it on a scythe that can't hit anything.
I don't see this shown on the stats given above, although my parents say im blind in one eye and can't see out the other, is this 1HS or 2HS? thanks if you can answer this!
I don't believe that this is a weapon at all. There is no damage or delay listed so it must be simple a held item like a shield or the stein of mogguk, etc.
I know alot of the pictures are from before umpteen patches ago and are incorrect in their description so i'm asking, Can an iksar necro use this item? I've already started the quest, and now I fear I won't be able to equip the damned thing. Anyone who can verify yes/no, please let me know.
Thanx =)
Smoochies 22 Necro ~ Servant to the mighty Cazic-Thule <Bristlebane>
I don't know if this is an old post or an incorrect post, but the ac on this item is +5 not +4. And, yes, this item is not triggered. It's constantly in effect.
Turn the shadowed scythe in first: this gets you the note. Then turn in the note, shadowed eye, shadow dagger and fire opal all at the same time.
Shadow Dagger - The goblin headmaster (another guide says headhunter, but it's headmaster) spawns on the island across from the Sisters on Ocean of Tears. Around on the back side of the island there's a hut standing near a large stone pillar/totem. The headmaster pops there, just clear out the area and wait. :)
Fire Opal - Bought in the Temple, she says she'll take gold only, but she will take platinum as well. (55pp)
Shadowed Scythe/Shadowed Eye - Easiest thing to do is just kill the shadowed man camp in Lavastorm. 6 Shadowed men spawn there, so it's a decent spawn rate. Smack em till what you need drops, then it's just a hop skip and jump to the Temple.
I did this quest last night. Just make sure you don't just hand in everything at once. I made the mistake (which was really stupid cause every other time I've hailed the person when I've done a temple quest) cause you hand in the shadowed scythe first & get a note. Hand in the note & eye, fire opal & shadow daggar & you get the harvester.
I am going to ask kind of a dumb question..but here it goes. You said to hand in the Scythe and you in turn get a note. Then hand in the note with the eye. Then the last two one at a time, or turn in the note, eye, fire opal and dagger together? I just dont want to try and find out for myself and have to go and do it all over again.
