Sleeves dropped off of the Plaguebone Warlord in the stables, in CoM. Lots of HP and hits hard. Resisted my Turgurs Insects first time around. Good thing it took the second cast or he would have handed me my ***.
Between having to be in CoM for my wifes now 65 shaman and my 64mage we have spent lifetimes in CoM.. were not certain. (A huge debate has erupted) she says the warlord is a rare pop in the first building of the upper level.. I say ive seen him in the second building on the upper level. Anyone know for sure?? Also for you folks that cant get past the big locked door at the back bridge.. try dueling a wizzy or chanter outside the goo house.. and having them cast Gflux on you while your up against the wall of the goo house..While you are flying through the air from your friends Gflux.. just click that Mage lev ring and step onto the roof of the goo house.. run to the top.. CoH your friends up.. hand out lev rings and float you way over to the ramp to the top..
Got these sleeves off a plaguebone warlord we fought on the bridge outside the...castle?, on the ground level. Not sure if he popped behind the locked door that you need a rogue for, or out in front of it. We were clearing that first room with the Reaver spawn, prior to entering it.
We were only there an hour or so, only killed one Black Reaver and a few room spawn cycles, and picked up both the sleeves and a Slimy Green Ring.
My advice is GO THERE NOW before they nerf the drop rate into oblivion. Lots of nice stuff has been common-dropped for a short while after introduction, then all but vanished...Maiden's Eye comes to mind.
The key to the door leading to the Reavers is now dropped off of the Captain of the guard which now is a random pop almost anywhere on the bottom floor. As far as the names (which are all light blue at 65) they are also random pops damn near anywhere.
I got these sleeves this morning and the skelli was in the stables-area.
Got the key from the Captain, opened the door and single pulled the reaver, Solo'ed 3 black reavers until Ghiosk spawned and then pimp slapped him also. He just dropped the shammy books.
Why is there a wisdom buff on an item that only int classes can use? Seems that a sta or dex or even a agi buff would make more sense. Anymore it seems like the Sony and Verent people just dont play the game or understand it.
You have to remember that City of Mist is a Kunark zone, which basically means its near the top of the list for being oldest (aside from the original "Old World" zones). And when Ruins of Kunark forst came out, both WIS and INT were factors when working with tradeskills. INT raised skills faster, WIS gave more sucesses... there are many Pre-Velious items for classes that have a seemingly misplaced INT or WIS stat. Another prime example I can think of, is the Shaman Totemic armors... there is one piece (Gauntlets I think) whose only stat aside from AC is a +5 to INT modifier. Back when tradeskillers relied on both WIS and INT for tradeskills, these were a nice addition to a Tradeskill Gear collection.
So the next time you see an item with an odd INT or WIS stat... and try to think how old it may be... if its Pre-Velious, then chances are, its a remnant of the old Tradeskill designs.

Good point and I have a theory on this issue. A lot of items have been coming up where the opposite stat is on an item for peeps that don't use or need that particular stat. Here's my thinking on something like this... when they originally developed the item it was for all casters, but before its final release they limited the item for one reason or another, and they never got around to changing the stat modifiers. Just a theory, take it or leave it.
#REDACTED,
Posted:Aug 30 2003 at 2:41 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) wisdom is nice for traid skills once u get um maxed out, u just have to replace your nice int items with some wisdom item. If your int is higer then wis it affects how fast u learn skills. if your wis is higher then int it affects the chance of fails. so it is just one less piece u would have to change when making something
I'm not following that post at all, but it definitely has some wrong info.
Wisdom does NOT affect your chance of failure on tradeskill combines. Only your skill level, the trivial level for the combine you're attempting, and the use of certain items (i.e. Geerlok Gemsetter) have any effect on success or failure. See EQTraders.com for more information about this.
Wisdom or Intelligence, whichever is higher, determines your chance of getting a skill increase for each combine. The one that's lower doesn't affect tradeskills in any way.

If you fully read what the 1st post says maybe you will understand. Wisdom at one time affected succeses in tradeskills. That has long ago been changed but not before these sleeves were out. Even EQTrader used to tell you this. Please make sure of YOUR information before posting.
