Paebla faction is not easy to raise, even after days of mass slaughtering Chetari i was still scowls with Neb. Not wanting to grind out any more, i figured i give sneak a try for doing the turn in of the 2 hearts. the only problem is Neb faces you as you come around the corner to his lair and his agro range is huge. So instant agro and no way to sneak. after clearing his room and lots of snaring, rooting and /q'ing then logging back in and mashing sneak, i was able to finally get him in a good position to do the hand in as indifferent/sneaking.
When we are fighting unstunable mobs that gate, necros will often turn it into a skeleton because it makes it easier push arouund and interrupt casting. So it does have some use.
True, the Skeleton effect has no effect on the mob, but imagine when someone forgets to swap this baby out. You now have a raid of 36 people trying to hit Sontalak, and he's the size of a skeleton in East Commons.

You don't turn into a skeleton, the mob you hit with the DD does. And before you ask, no it has absolutely no inpact on the game at all. It's just kind of neat.
If you accidentally/on purpose turn that dragon your guild is fighting into a skeleton it does shorten the maximum range you can be from the mob and still hit with melee attacks.
Most dragon/giant sized mobs you can be quite far back from and melee , on some you can actually be outside the range of its Area Effect attacks and still be stabbing away.
