Fiery Vambraces  

 

I picked these up last night on an excursion into Sol A for Bard Lambent quest items. We were looking for these and the Firewalkers Boots. Just to make sure the experience didn't go to waste, I took two druids, 32 and 34, and a lvl 36 monk along. It turns out, my 51 chanter went along for the ride and looting privileges. The druids and monk were able to handle most everything that came at them. There were only a few times that they were saying, "Wow, glad we have a chanter with us."

Outside of the FS weapons, the general loot sucks for a 20-40 zone. However, the exp is nice. None of us had been in there before, but a map fresh from EQ Atlas was all we needed. We got the Firey Vambraces on the way into our hunting spot, only 5 minutes into the zone. The Champions are plentiful and very ill-tempered.

After 20 minutes of ******** around, we set up camp in the gobblin vendor room (King room was camped - cleric epic mob there). The Firewalkers boots dropped off of a mage in the first half hour. Unfortunately, I was on the other side of the zone on a "clarity mission" and they rotted before I could get them. They did not drop again for another 5 hours. Both times, the mages that dropped them came from the little room behind the king room. All in all, we had much more loot than we could carry, all three of my helpers dinged, one twice, and my bard is one step closer to a full suit of Lambent armor.
