Shame on any melee class that does not just offer to give this to the casters in their group. Since Verant has made it impossible for anyone except bards to ge white dragon scales this cloak is bar none the best cloak your casters can get. And you really want you casters to have as much mana as possible don't you.

The bottom line on caster vs melee on this item (to me) is this: Most melee classes will opt for something more suitable for their back slot at some point in the 50-60 and onwards highish-end game (which you are already at least at the start of if you're hunting here). For casters, this is basically "it". I searched allakhazam's item database, and the only upgrade I saw to it was a rare drop from Phara Dar in VP, which is a whole different ballpark.
I think dain cloak is equivalent to this(for a caster), if not better, its 8 int 8 wis 8 cha with some svm on it too, dont remember the hp/mana, if there even is any. Still, heiro cloak is still a lot easier to get than the dain cloak in any case.

You fight a hieropahnt to get a hierophant cloak.
At this level, no one melee will use that, or for a short time. It is a priest cloak. perfect for shaman and cleric.
By the way, I have camp him alone today, while 120 in OS. =D
Spawned 2 times in 6 hours, spawn time is roughly 27 mins.
Dropped the Sword of Skyfire first, then Hiero cloak. Making me a happy lizard. Grin~

It's tough to get because the Heirophant spawns many placeholders before the true Heiro. Getting to this place can be difficult also and you need a Rogue in the group to pick a door for you. See?

This is an excellent cloak.. However if you are a warrior i would go with the CoF due to the haste

Much easier to scoop one off this Mob.....then off dragons that spawn once a week.
