No longer combines, this was the old research system. When they put the new one in the old containers (various books) no longer work. They left the drops in the game as vendor trash (and some have other purposes).
also, this dropped for me today in Plane of Growth off a tranquil treant.
Nilitim's Grimoire Pg. 400 Sells for 1 plat 1 gold 4 silver 3 copper at vendor Sateal Deirosap in the bazaar (human Monk level 2 charisma 141). Bazaar prices range from 5 to 30 plat... Combines with pg 401 to make researched spell Paralyzing Earth....
