Right, ID1 on a Rec level 30 item you cannot get untill ID1 is useless to you. A level 20 wizard can use ID1 for a total of 4 levels, then they need ID2 to affect their spells. Please. Yes an equivelant drops off a level 55 mob. If people are using ID2 at 55, I feel sad for them, they need ID3. No this quest is not overpowered. Simple fact is the focuses need to be more obtainable, specifically this one. This is the single most important focus for a wizard. It is also the single most difficult and misscaled focus in the game.
The brute fact is that this quest is perfect, and their needs to be more like it. Wizards find it very difficult to keep in focus because of the rarity and difficulty to obtain ID. The frogs are very lucky they can get this. Stop trying to take away what is good about the game based upon what is wrong with it.
Actually, a wizard will use thier lvl 20 DD over thier lvl 24 ones until 29. so ID 1 is good until 28, and still helpful even after for a couple of levels.
For a quest as simple as this one, this is really a very nice reward. Improved damage is rare as hell, and typically the items that carry it are horribly overpriced. Granted, it'd be nice if they opened this quest up to all wizard races (I mean, if the Cabilis progressive quests can be done by non-iksar, I can't see why non-frogs should be excluded from this), but still, a good quest and a good item.
