I agree with fistofice on the spawns, but I believe it may not have been mentioned that there are specific locations for these goblins, rather than mixed in with all the rest. Since I'd never hunted pick claws I wasn't KoS, and wandered around looking for the spawn points. I also found three of them - starting from the first floor with pick claws (a fairly big landing with a large prominent wooden pillar in the centre) there is a spawn in the back, beside the hole in the wall, that spawns this type. In the side room immediately off the landing, with two spawns in the back and one immediately beside the door on the opposite wall - the single is this type. Lastly, there is a single goblin in the elbow hallway in the very basement, just outside the raider room - that one also spawns this type.

Wiped these three mobs three times, and found a scroll on my fourth clear. Spawn time is 10M+, and all three of these points I listed had 'a goblin', 'a crazed goblin', and 'a goblin thief'. Got my drop off 'a goblin', but according to other posters, all of them will drop.

Last pertinent article of information is that every other type of goblin has 'pick claw' in their name.

Server reset at 0500 decided to kill "a goblin" had it on him. One more drop to get.

a goblin was on the first level of basement far corner to the left of the stairs.

This is not a "common", I beg to differ as I have been camping this scroll for a very long time now.............

Been camping the basement in HHK for about 14 hours now and no scroll killed well over a hundred crazed and more a goblins and have murdered several thiefs. I am about reasy to give up on this scroll everythign else for the quest dropped within an hour of camping the spots any help would be greatly appreciated.

started this quest for my sk epic.,.. i have killed EVERY mob in zone even guards nobles for fun while waiting on this drop... i have been at this camp now for about 5 hours... and still do not have this item... it is not common

Am currently hunting in HHK for the scroll. I've done this quest about a year ago and have completed that quest in the same amount of time as I have spent camping Amstaf's Scroll. Have currently killed 14 Crazed, 6 theifs and several a goblin within 6 and 1/2 hours. Common drop is Bronze helm..Anyways, yes the Goulbane is used for both Shadowknight AND Paladin epics. Thinking of camping the shinn lord in U Guk. seems to me the drops have been nerfed. If I have to camp this long. Mine as well cut out all the Jibba Jabba and go strait for the drop.

I am just adding this to confirm that it DOES, in fact, drop off normal Goblins down in the goblin mine area of High Keep. It just dropped for me 10 minutes ago. Hope this helps.

SK's need the ghoulbane for one of their turn-in's for their epic. That's why SK's need the ghoulbane pieces as well.

I know this is used in the Ghoulbane quest, but when I've ooc'd for Pally's to pick up I';ve had responses from SK's saying they need it as well. Unfortunately I forgot to ask them why!

Does anybody know what quest this is used in by SK's?

Since no one has said yet WHAT quest this is for, and its not yet listed above, I will point out that it is a part of the Sword of Nobility quest for the Paladin epic...the quested alternative to killing in Guk for the Ghoulbane drop.
