dropped off of Dartain the Lost along with Tome of Miragul
This reminds me of Truesilver gear. Nice AC for chain classes but nothing else. And this one is heavy besides. I guess if you're really desperate for the extra AC and have all your stats buffed up with other items this is a good item, otherwise try for something with stats. The zone it drops in is quite a bit higher than this item is worth just like Kaesora where the Truesilver drops.

I've seen Paineel Steel armor drop, VERY rarely. It looks like about one piece will drop per clearing of the zone.
I got a breastplate from a revenant down by the castle / yael area, and a set of greaves from Master Yael himself (as a reward for being the DT sacrifice - I was tagging along on another guild's raid at the time).
