Ogre can wear this, but they can wear only large. Iksar can wear this, but they can wear only medium. Elf can also wear this, but they can only wear small/medium. So how is it that if Iksar and Elf can wear this, that human, erudite and half elf can't? Why not dark elf? There should be no piece of armor in this game that is both ogre and elf wearable. If it's one size fits all, then all races should be able to wear it otherwise normal size restrictions should apply.
Oh, and All classes? Really? It's quite clearly a chain graphic, so you're telling me that a high elf enchanter or wood elf druid can wear this? Seriously? Even if it was classified as leather, like the small scarab breastplate (another problem item that is classified as leather despite having the word breastplate in the name and a plate graphic), INT casters still should not be able to wear it. This is just as bad as all the plate armor in the game that is Iksar useable despite the fact that the lore clearly states that Iksar cannot wear plate at all. It would be more understandable if this was an item that was added later in the game by employees who weren't around during original era and were not familiar with the lore, but this is an original era item placed in the game by Brad McQuaid's original development team. so they should have known better. The same with all the Iksar wearable plate that was introduced while they were still there.

It's an error in mass updating items. I think when adding Elf Beastlords. You can see how it was supposed to be in the original item screenshot.

Yes, a Iksar necro can wear this. Looks like chain, so be wary of n00bs mistaking you for a shadow knight. ;)

FYI In 2 hours last night I farmed 5 shields and this armor from the spider. I had to destroy 2 other sets of armor since it is lore.
Did the thought of an /ooc so someone else can have one cross your mind?

I just bought one on off a merchant for 92 pp and it´s now equipable by iksar too. Considering that it has one more AC than the flayed skin tunic it is worth at least the same, because Iksar necro´s will love it. It is lore now.

Okay the graphic would suggest that it shows up as chain/banded but that doesn't always mean anything. I'd like to get one for my Beastlord to get rid of that leather look but somebody told me it showed up like leather. Anybody know?
It looks like banded, i have one on my beasty. Look goes good with Gnome skin sleeves i think.

This is nice armor for large rogues and shaman as until they can get their class armor. be warned though if you go in there and camp him all the other spider can aggro on you unless high enough lvl and there are about 15 other spiders in area

It has the same look as banded/chainmail/ringmail. Well worth camping for if you can use it.

Actually, "Pending" means that they are deciding whether or not to make it LORE yet. Sometimes, they like the idea of allowing people to get more of them to sell, or give to younger players... but if these things become highly farmed, overpriced items.... they make em LORE.

You are an... nm, I dont want to flame. Dont post if you dont know. Pending lore is an item that they are going to make lore. So if you have a backpack full of em and they finally make them lore, you're sol. So, what do you think patent pending means? Just curious.

Actually "patent pending" means the patent is under review. There is an amount of time built in before a patent is issued to allow for others who may have been ripped off(a la Tesla) an opportunity to prove they actualy created an invention. It also allows a review of old pattents to verify that the item is actually new, and not just a minimal redress of something existing.

When they first decided they were going to make some items so that you could only own one of them, they came up with Lore items. To give people time to get rid of extra that they had, for a time they made items that were going to be lore PENDING LORE. They weren't Lore YET, but you have better get rid of your extras, because soon they would poof...
