Ralo the Black in Hate's Fury dropped this for me also, both times I killed him. The pick has a quest tag also

doing the "Need to Mine!" task tonight, and I've killed at least 20 crazed miners, and haven't seen one of these drop... /feedbacked on it, so possibly the drop rate can be fixed.

Doing the "Not So Calm" task from Cadale in Gunthak I needed the kill 10 crazed miner's and loot 4 Ornate Miner's Picks. Was thinking it was a mistake at first but I did indeed have an Ornate drop from a crazed :-) Certainly not their normal drop though :-)

Yeah they dont seem to be easy to get for this quest, so I am killing any miner at all to see if I can get my four drops. If not delete the quest and start an new one.

These sell for about 50pp at the merchants in Gunthak (with reasonable charisma). Don't confuse them with the normal Miner's Picks, which sell for much less.

i think allakhazam needs to update their ratio description chart (i guess thats what ill call it). i mean, 12/30 is rated 'excellent', but with the way the economy works now... well, its not quite excellent.
Old, new and inbetween worlds, thats still an excelent ratio. 1/1 or less is godlike. This is what? a 1/2 ratio? (with damage bonuses) that is excelent. Average being like a 1/4. There ARE no other ratings. Not everyone int he game can use a 1/1 - then, there would be no need to measure it.

AGAIN I will make this point. Lets say I take a lvl 45 druid and farm, or go to the bazaar... I buy cheap stuff like 10-40pp a slot. Now a days, if you take that new character with that gear to level your going to mop up, ESPECIALLY old world.
JUST BECAUSE there is better AND there are a crap load of twinks does NOT make the weapon any less valuable. Sure in an economic sense, but Its gonna rip into a mob. So When you concider game and environment, its very nice.
This is a 1/2 ratio, about the same as a Centi shortsword.... I dont think you would throw that out if you found it laying on the ground.
Under 10 with this, yes I twinked a warrior when I saw this for sale off a merchant, I was capping my damage of 20. I was killing whites at lvl 1 and 2 in one hit.
Its a GREAT weapon. People like you, and others with that view should log on to have leather armor and a splintering club untill 45 or so.

Actually, Valdon this has a 1/2.5 ratio. A 1/2 ratio would put this POS weapon at 12/24. This has 6 more delay than that. That's 30. For someone who likes to flame people and talk about them not having played for more than a year, you're pretty terrible at calculating weapon ratios with gradeschool math.
