I got this to drop on Aug 16th. I do seem to miss a lot when Dex is low. However when my dex is 200+ I hit more often then I do with my Lammy or Argent's Defender. (both are close in Dmg & Delay)

Got a question...to anyone who has this weapon, do you seem to miss, a lot?! I mean, this was great at first, but Im starting to think that my purchase was not the right one. I constantly miss when I use this at 49. Yet when I equip my Goranga SPiked Club I hit A LOT more often. Does DEX play a role in how often you hit, because my DEX is quite low. Need you help, or I might as well sell this thing.
The two weapons use totally different skills. Check your skills relative to each item (1hs vs 1hb (or is GSC 2hb?))
What are the delays involved? Do miss more often as a percent of swings, or as a flat number per minute?

Price on Fennin is about 3-6k. They started at 6k, but I waited for a nice price eventually got it for 2800pp. Very nice weapon and hit for 40s and 50s a lot at 50 as a warrior.

Can anyone post what ratio and stats this weapon has for a lvl 20, 30, or 40? I'd like to get it for my new pally but I am wondering what lvl she should be before I make the trip out there, as she is lvl 23 now and will probably have no use for it for a while.

I just bought one last night for my lvl 46 Warrior, and it's 10/20.
I have gotten this from loader, corsair, deckhand, named, its basically a shared loot for undead.
Looks like a black cutlass....almost like the black 1hs's everything in the zone wields. Got one from a reanimated loader.

I haven't seen this mentioned below, unless I missed it, but this weapon is recommended level 50, so a low level twink will not get much use out of this weapon due to the crippled stats until you get into the 30s and 40s. For a twink, a Lammy or Defiance would be a better 1h slash practice weapon.

self respecting pally here and warrior.. first of.. i love this sword... for my warrior especaily.. HP is about 100 with the sta factored in for my 45 warrior.. and the agro pull with this in my primary and the barnacled coverd axe in the secondary is awesome.. 15 second headstart and my guild cant rip agro off me if they try.. well cept the SK's but thats a diffrent story... anyway.. this is a DAM fine wepaon.. and its hella fast and hits pretty hard. My pally uses it less, but thats cause he likes his 2hs.. but when it's caster time and you need that bash form the shield.. this weapon adds nice speed to an otherwise slow hitting class

I love this weapon, on my warrior i have a sash of dragonhorn (24% haste) and a slarghling spear (9/19 +2disease dmg ac10 6str 20hp/mana and 5svP/D and i swing insanley fast. as a woodelf though i don't have the max dmg a big ogre would but so far i have quad hit for low to high 40's it rocks. Anywho anyone who finds the sword that can use an needs better this thing rocks for an upgrade i bought this to replace my bed leg club.

Not a bad weapon at all, an 11/20 weapon is still a respectable ratio, although far from uber, but don't get me wrong, this is a NICE weapon. One thing I Have noticed, while hunting in Loy zones, is that mobs are not always very spell resistant especially when properly debuffed. My main is a shaman and my warrior is always around too, as I 2 box all the time, LFG is just such a pain... Anyways, most of the time on mobs here you don't even have to malo (or of that line) to land a slow, but I would recommend some debuffs for your casters to get max dmg. Normally I just duo and get fairly deep into many of these zones, I've seen a lot of the loot just drop off random mobs, while some are off of obscurely named mobs (god knows what process VI uses to get names) Be wary, however, as the caster mobs can do some pretty efficient debuffing and dmg from casting, as well as hurting your DPS when they land some nasty slows, more than several times i've had to abolish disease on my warrior.
Anyways, on this specific weapon, I'd say it's decent for all classes that can use it, 11/20 is still very respectable, but not godly, would work well in the hands of a mid lvl SK/Pally to work up 1hs, or whatever. Would definitely be a nice bard, ranger, or rogue offhander too. Anyways, on flaming and saying no self respecting sk would use, well, need to be a little more open minded. While not the same dmg/dly as a MoSS or similar, it's a nice weapon and 50hp IS 50hp, and svm and sta are nice... Would I use on my sk? No, he's lvl 55, needs higher dps, and personally, I'm happy with the Massive Dragonclaw Shard and a Atramentous Shield that are on him now. Would I use this at lower levels? Hell yeah, 50hp is awesome, and would hit for max dmg up to lvl 30 anyways. Also, everyone has their own playing style and some roleplay more than others. To debunk someone because they'd use an item you personally wouldn't and rip their playing, etc, shows you really have to learn more about EQ, it's not about the mobs, it's about the people you meet. Quite honestly, keep ripping others like you did on the boards just because some sk may use this weapon, you're gonna find yourself in more ignore lists and less groups. Just a small possiblity of why your rating is bumping the lower realms of 'aweful.'

Yeesh stop crying and stop insulting people who would use this weapon zbennion. Not everyone can be uber and its not easy to get good weapons on every server. I do agree that 90% of the time a weapon is SK and pally useable it has +wis but not +int, but oh well. This is not a no drop weapon and im sure many mid lvl non twinked SKs would love this.
Oh btw before you flame me saying im jealous cause blah blah... i have a windblade but that doesnt mean i think everyone who uses something like this sword is a "sad sack of shadowknight" or not "self respecting". You lil guys out there dont listen to garbage like zben's post. Use whatever you can and be proud!

My point was, there's not much use for Knights with 1h weaps, IN MY OPINION! I'd rather have some 44/45 2h weap than a 22 20 or 24 20 etc. etc. weapon, IN MY OPINION! And FYI, I started back in beta 2 using rusty 1hs's thank you =)

This weapon is FAR superior for a young SK than anything I had until lvl 50 for a 1hs. I focused on 1hb and in my 40's I used a Sword of Skyfire for the low delay to get my 1hs skill up. If I was going to start again and twink this time, I'd want a weapon like this from lvl 1-30 for a fast, agro producing weapon with STA and decent damage. Even with WIS instead of INT on this weapon, it's still great stats for an SK. But reality, this is not a SK/Pali weapon, it has WIS on it for the Rangers who are the most likely ones to want this weapon for all it's stats and for them above average ratio.

This isn't too bad at all, cept now it's nerfed with a recommended level. The sad thing is that I STILL don't have a decent one hander. Working on it, but even when I started out I had a black alloy longsword as my main weapon...boy was I uber back then! =P
All in all, newbs these days are SO under-appreciative of the fact that bronze armor & fine steel weapons were once the most prized possessions.

Odd. I'm a self respecting SK and I like the SvM and STA on this blade. Sure, the dmg output could be better, but overall, it'll do the job. And the 50 HP is nothing to sneeze at, either.
