MM ring Quest details

Ok. I have turned in at least 200 of these no kidding. As a 46 Iksar warrior there are not too many mobs that are blue that i can solo and Kerosh Blackhand in Field of Bone is one of them that I can. He is a rogue and so when I solo him he doesnt get to use his backstab. Kill him every time.

Now I say this, not to change the subject, but to say that BECAUSE I can kill Kerosh, I camp out the Maruader cave on the north shore of FOB zone. If you cannot handle a lvl 33 Iksar rogue then DO NOT GO IN THE CAVE. There are 9 Maruader spawns and 4 Manslayers spawns in the cave and the Kerosh spawn. I Clean out the cave continuously, and kill Kerosh for exp when he pops, and when my packs are full of loot and MM rings I head to town. Give the MM rings to my Necro alt. and sell the loot and head back to the shore.

My Iksar Necro skipped all of lvl 17, 18, 19, and half of 20 just by turning in the MM rings that my main collected. No kidding, about a full blue of exp for each set of 4 rings if I remember right. ALSO, the factions are nice but not essential, I say that because all iksars can go anywhere in town, the merchants faction is cool because we dont have any CHA to speak of (55).

LASTLY, when you turn in the MM rings only turn in one at a time. Just about EVERY time I go see Drill Master Dal (on the balcony walk above the water, near the entrance to the warrior guild area), I turn in 1 or 2 or 3 rings, and bang, the quest is complete. I mean, like 9 out of 10 times I go see him. This is because so many people mistake the other rings for MM rings and think they have 4 to turn in. Resulting in a half done quest that you can finish with 1 or 2 or 3 more rings. Just dont go to see him unless you do have 4 MM rings, because maybe the last iksar already did what you want to do hehe.

This item turns in for good experience. It's great for twinking your low level characters (hand them all the 'MM' rings you collect), and still gives decent experience in your 20's when you are no longer getting experience for the marauders themselves.

Not as nice as the diseased pelts from QHills for quick levelling your character directly, but the 'MM' rings are not nodrop and accumulate in shops for those with money to burn on twinking. You do have to turn them in sets of 4, and they cost just under 1pp (with bad CHA) from a shop, so it can be an expensive twink, but the rings are also easy to farm in Warsliks, LoIo, or FoB.
Worth the Time

I loot these things as often as I can. They drop pretty comon outside kurns tower. I sell the Non MM ones and trade in the MM ones for xp and some faction hits plus a little coin.
Sell the leach husk armor to a vendor for a few gold. When you are a poor non twinked character every penny counts.

I realize this is an item of little or no interest even for the associated quest, but I would have to say it is very common, it dropped five times in an hour easy, and does that everyday. Completely unnecessary info considering how undesirable this is
