This is one nice item for an enchanter! I have a Zlandicar in primary, and Tome of Wind's Wisdom in secondary at moment. This is a nice addition to have! Range, and secondary items with these stats are rare. Anything that can help is awesome. : ) RN price has dropped down to 2500-3500 for this. The price drop is amazing considering how hard it is to get this item. Sometimes I wonder if bazaar is helping or hindering prices. Lol Makes ya miss the old Yelling days in Gfay and EC. Safe Journey's everyone....
Hmmm.. Wand of the war wizard. You would think it would be wizard only. Then I come here and see War Magus' arrow guard. Would think this would be a mage only item. This would make sense to me. But then, Verant does not seem to make a lot of sense. After all, look at the flowing thought items. Most are marked as all/all, making casters who need the flowing thought, have to complete with non casters for the items. Oh well, guess I will watch for the next batch of oddities hehe.
the word "mage" only means "mage" in everquest. it is a wizard in other games, a enchanter type in other games, etc.
the word "magus" can mean any type of person who generally wears robes and casts spells to help him/herself out. just because in EVERQUEST the word "wizard" means specifically a wizard, doesn't mean they cant use the term "wizard" to describe a item. Merlin was a "wizard", but he surely wasn't like the wizards in everquest. in a MUD i play, the word "mage" means the exact same thing that "wizard" means in everquest.
dont limit yourself to JUST this game. everquest is ripped off from many MANY MANY MANY games out there, and the names of items aren't any different. if they only used specific to this game names, they would be very dull and boring "a shield of a wizard" "a rod of a wizard" "a wizardous rod" etc. the fact that they dont do that lame crap is one of the reasons I like this game.
Heh, you need to read a little more closely before you slam someone. Nowhere in that sentence you quoted did I see the words "pure casters" all I saw was casters. This means one thing, either they cast or they don't. If they cast, they use mana, even bards use mana, and if they don't cast, they don't use mana. It is that simple.
