Planes of Power
The drop rate appears to be about 5% on all worms in the cave and there are sufficient quantity of them that you should be getting them at 1 per clear or 1 per 2 clears. But only if you are killing ALL of the worms including the ones segmented off in the back not connected to the territory of the worms up front.
So go through and clear the entire network of caves once or twice and mark your map if you need to so you know where the worms are at and then just make sure you keep those cleared and you will get them at a decent rate (depending on how many you need of course).
Respawn seemed roughly 10 minutes, but I never timed it.

Ok heres my experience seems alot of angry and not so angry ppl talking about how uncommon it is. well i went here for my stone and took about 3 hr of killing worms to get one. couple weeks later a few bards in my guild were approaching the time to start their 1.5 so i told them id go see if i could round up all the components for the diamonds for them went into justice expecting to spend some time killing for their stones.... instead i got 5 on the first pull and i only pulled about 9 mobs so it is COMPLETELY random in my opinion
COMMON DROP MY ***, OK bards those who are needing this to get epic 1.5 GL I've spend well over 10 hours in this zone killing all of these mobs and have only got 1 count em 1 alkaline etched stone be prepared for the long haul

cleared out the tunnels 4 times of the worms, 1 stone. This person must be either extremely lucky, or a very bad liar.
Agreed. These things are the worst part of the collection for the Bard epic 1.5, they just do not have a very high drop rate. Spent hours clearing the tunnel of the worms and then logging and coming back. I would buy 1 if they even had it in the bazaar, what a waste of time.
It's almost like not everything in the tunnel drops them. I cleared the *proper* listed mobs, and got 12 in 1 hour.

A ravaging burrower just dropped one for me as well. Not so surprising seeing as it's the same worm model, but just wanted to confirm it.

a mindless tunnler, dropped one today. same worm lookin thing as shadow crawler and such - different name
Drops off Enforcers also, just very rare.
We have conflicting reports about enforcers dropping this. Can anyone confirm that they do in fact drop it?

After killing thousands of enforcers, I've yet to see one drop. I've had many of these drop from worms in the tunnels.

I am looking in the bazaar and none are for sale. Considering that these are used to make Glittering Ring of Judgement which sells for 10-30K, depending on your server, I think the average price for them should be at least 5K but more like 8 or 9.

I have fought down in the caves of PoJ and it is good exp in your 50's. I am not sure about the rarity but I am thinking that it is not as Common as it says OR no one ever fights down there anymore which is essential the same thing because they have to be looted and put into the server supply before they can be sold.

Drops from the ravaging burrowers also, dropped for me today by the one outside the diamond beetle room. I have killed over a hundred of these guys and seen only a couple drops.

What is this used for?

Had the stone drop twice during my last visit to the tunnels in the SE corner of PoJ, both from "a mindless tunneler", one of the wurm things that crawl about there. We were there fighting about 2 or 3 hours. Other visits there none dropped.
Was very happy to get one for my Imbue Justice spell, and used it to enchant the other to make the White Diamond of Justice.

Heard these were dropped by the worms under PoJ. I've hunted there for about 5 hours and nothing yet though :/
