Well ok, I admit it... I have a Halfling Druid. A female none the less. She however is only level 10. Very cute furr foot. Anyways. I went out and Got the Scarab breatplate, and helm.

Anyways. I was curious what do these boots look like ON? because for noobie toon gear this armor ROCKS. Its cheap, easy to get, and actually REALLY cute, I dont care WHAT the CHARISMA rating does. I just wanna know what these boots look like? Are they GREEN? so I can look cool? Or are they black?

I WISH EQ / SONY would make SCARAB LEGS and ARMS.... like a whole set of gear for noobies.

I had to do the crushbone belt quest to raise faction, he basically said something along the lines when your faction is ok, but not the best like "you need to do more in the way for the dwarves" or some crap. I also wanna let you noobs know, at lvl 9 the orc hill was LIGHT BLUE, I was STOMPING them, the xp to kill them was minimal. BUT when I turned in only 8 belts... I went to lvl 10. I think it was close to 2 full yellow bubbles. on 8 belts? Could that be right???

As for the belts, go look them up, I've pl'd toons with backpacks full of belts, maybe 2 hours to collect 4 backpacks full of belts, gak dvinn while at it, grab some shoulder pads and PRESTO! lvl 10 toon in 10 min or so. and yes I know it takes more than 4 packs worth, but fill a mule with full packs plus 8 more then go turn em in and see what happens. Yes the belts and pads are worth that much xp.

Maybe the experience was higher than you thought it was since your a lower level.
Bad data

This item includes the Shadow Knight as an allowable class to use it, but the races allowed cannot be Shadow Knights. They can't be Monks either.
That must be an error in the game, or I'm missing something.

Gnomes can be Shadow Knights. I don't know _where_ MNK comes from.

for all we know they could be planing to add classes to the halflings gnomes and dwarfs... but i have to admit.. a dwarf monk would look kinda interesting...

I tried for the boots twice and in both cases he has taken my stuff and just said thanks and I have no boots to show for it. I have the breast plate and a helm but he just won't make the boots. Is this a dead quest or am I missing somthing?
#Anonymous, Posted: May 23 2001 at 1:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Argh, can't you people just ignore the fact that it says that it's bard, shaman, and monk usable (plus others) it's so annoying, stop ******** about it, and calm down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Classes
# May 18 2001 at 11:38 PM Rating: Default
There are various ways that armor can be classed as wearable, small(shorties) elf only(small/medium) medium(all human), Iksar, large(barbarian) and Large(troll, ogre, barbarian), there are also the class groups, cloth(casters) leather(monks, druids) chain(ranger, rogue, shaman) and plate(cleric, warrior, bard, paladin, shd) It is more convienient(code/database size wise) to use these codes than to restrict it by the specific races and classes that match up
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 04 2001 at 9:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why can a shaman use this? There are no Dwarf Halfling, or gnome shamans to begin with. Shamans are Iksar, Barbarien, Ogre, Troll. Unless the shaman's ability to shrink makes this equippable by them, i think that Sony should revise this item.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 11 2001 at 4:53 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) basically it easy monk could were any shoes but
#Anonymous, Posted: May 02 2001 at 6:41 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually the same question should be posed for Monks. There only 2 classes humans and Iksars that can be monks and yet it is listed as well.

I was wondering the same question
sellable?
# Feb 19 2001 at 6:34 PM Rating: Default
are these sellable ? how much?
RE: sellable?

Well, the components to complete the quest will cost you all of about 2 plat. I've never heard of anyone actually trying to purchase them, though. It's much easier to just get the scarab legs, carapace, and coins, and do the quest one's self.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 18 2001 at 7:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hmmm, monk usuable, but no races that can be monk. meh, wouldnt want em anyway, too heavy
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 04 2001 at 9:07 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) See!! This is my point exactly!! Why can a monk use it if none of those little people can be monks?? It makes no sense. I think that Sony should have thought this item out a little more before saying that Monks and Shamans can use it. Just boggles my mind. And take this off the Shaman quest board please.
